Sneaky Villians

Had one of my lower Toons on Virtue out last night, a 15 Empathy/Radiation Defender, when I witnessed a startling sight.
As I was standing by Lt Wincott and had just finished stocking up on inspirations, 3 toons came out of Cherry Hills, and ran past me and into the Atlas Gate...

A Mastermind and his 2 Ninja Henchmen

As you can imagine I did a serious double-take, and was not Hallucinating, they were actually HERE. Several people commented, "oh yeah, there are several villians here, and they are running Hero missions, it's some sort of Bug"

EEEEEEEEK!

Geez, thought it was safe and peaceful in the Hollows, there goes the neighborhood I guess....

hmm i thought this was a myth... once a while back (during double xp actually) remember catching a glimpse of an orange name flashing across my HUD before fading stalker style. I figured it was a glitch or a sleep induced hallucination!

Yes, this has happened before. Not sure what the bug is that causes it. A couple of months ago on Triumph there was a Brute in Atlas Park. I think Sportgenius teamed up with him briefly to help him get some AP exploration badges.

Yep, I remember that he had gotten "confused" which let him enter the heroes base and come to Atlas Park, where he was listed as a hero brute.

So, out of curiosity, can you attack these "lost" villains when they are in Paragon? Or do they act like hero player characters?

I remember hearing about that episode, I think the Brute was Invuln something or other and used Invisible or something (I was never told the build) and was able to survive the Police Drones and patrols in Recluses Victory, then use that gate to enter Atlas Park, he was caught by GMs and teleported into Atlas Globe, there is a post here somewhere concerning it.

I thought that bug had been fixed, now there's another?

As far as I know, even if a CoV Villain is able to enter CoH they will be unable to attack heroes or vice versa, they basically become a hero, so seeing one is fine.

However if I am on Patrol in CoH and see one, I will first try to attack them (futile though it may be- call it a Knee-jerk Reflex if you will), then I will file a bug report, take a screenshot and submit it to GMs and hope the server doesn't get shut down at that moment in an attempt to correct the glitch.

I wonder if I can use my Warshades Nebulous Form and enter CoV from Recluses Victory...

The Plan:
First I will use one of my Villain's to plot a course from Villain's side, then switch to heroes... I teleport myself to just above the entrance to Villains base, Snap on Nebulous form, drop to the ground and use SS and NFs Jump Boost to enter the Portal before NF runs out...

This is all theory mind you and I doubt it would work, but with all the glitches happening might be worth trying, then again might get me in trouble to, maybe better I not try...

Then again, imagine the fear and confusion of seeing a Level 50 Warshade flying around in CoV :)

Maybe it has something to do with Halloween Events, always seem to be more glitching just before some big event on main servers that include CoH/CoV team ups (well the last Pocket-D event anyway.)

not quite the same thing i know but you used to be able to get into the villain hospitals in pvp zones, i did it with my blaster SS you could get in, but as there is a delay when you leave the hosp you get killed comming out.

well i actuallt have a great idea. first u need to cooperate with a plant or a psychic dom (with confuse) or a illusion or psychic troller if ur a villain. You must also have phase shift. first get as clost to other sides base as possible without gettin hit by an Arachnos/Police drone. than get the dom/troller to confuse you. than as soon as u are confused hit on phase shift (the temp power from Warburb should work). Than run through to the portal. the drones shouldnt be able to hit u and since u are confused you should get through to the Rogue isles.

any 1 want to help me get into AP this would be fun with my MM and i would help this kind hero try to get into mercy

Edited:all so i just thougth another way when they put areans out a hero with confuse and some villain go to areans in the D and hero uses confuse and they leav then the villan can get into AP or where every u guys think that would work?

TK, its not something you can easily replicate. It was completely random. And no, you can attack him, the drones dont attack him, and his name doesnt show up orannge (not that Ive seen). I hung out w/ him for a sec, and he has quite a collection of badges.

Also, the RV "confusing" bug was fixed, and most likely will never happe nagain :(

#EDIT# Bounce (the brute) wasnt confused, and didnt come from RV. He was in Warburg, and the game crapped out. When the players logged back on, they were trapped in some room. A GM started sending them to the appropriate place, and Bounce accidently landed in AP.

Lol this was my coolest bug. I logged on and was underneath Talos Island. I used /stuck and was trapped in there until a GM pulled me out.

Yeah i remember the heroic bounces the brute. Took a screenshot of him, just so I could show my sg mates as they sure wouldnt believe it. I asked bounces what happened and he said that he was pvping in bloody bay when all of a sudden a glitch happened and he wound up in mercy. Suddenly all his team mates names turned yellow and then he got shunted to atlas. When I saw him it was day 6 for him in atlas and no one knew how to put him back in the rogue isles. That was a long time ago, so i hope by now hes back there.

I am back in COV now, Donovan. I got lucky and was sent back in a rather remarkable, dramatic fashion. I was in COH long enough to go from start of lvl 43 to 44 and was less than half a bar from 45. 2 or 3 days after I talked to Donovan Wolf; I received a tell in a mission with a team of my friends from Ghost Widow. The tell said Lord Recluse summons your presence or some such to Atlas Park under the globe. I headed there immediately where she made me wait for a few minutes and of course, the longer I stayed in one spot the larger the crowd gets. She appeared after a suitable crowd has gathered, asked how I came to be there; I improv’ed and said a temporal shift occurred in Bloody Bay sending me to Paragon. She then started to very, very slowly kill me. I purposely had none of my 5 def/ dam resist toggles on so I am fairly sure this was on purpose. This belief was added to when some of my friends and others I didn’t know who were 50 attacked her; Ghost Widow promptly one shotted them all while I continued to spin in mid air. Low lvl chars also attacked her and met a similar fate. After I finally died, I hit the hospital button and like the first time in Mercy, the screen froze for half a second, then all the blue heroes turned red before I loaded up back at the villain hospital in Pocket d. Ghost Widow teleported me to some remote corner or Pocket D, thanked me for playing along, and asked if my issue of being stuck in COH was resolved to my satisfaction. I told her it was a total blast, she told me I could keep my hero badges, and left. Later, my friends told me that I had a gold temp name above my head Ghost Widow had apparently given me, Unforgiven.

While she killed me, I kept broadcasting, “Forgive me” =)

Someone made a video of me getting sent back, it a tad fuzzy but gives me nostalgic fuzzies nonetheless.

Wow, what you could see of the video bounces was just too cool, and . . . .suddenly i'm wishing i was ghost widows plaything under atlas too.. .lol. Though i'm quite curious now if the opposite has ever happened, a hero getting glitched into the rogue isles.
