Does anyone know if there is anyway to check how long you have had youir account for the veteran badges, Cause i have been playing on and off since a lil before CoV came out and i am not sure what i would get from this

They will let you see on the website once they come out with it. Until then, no.

I highly doubt you will be able to try them all out. You will only be able to access the ones you can get on the real version.

Just log in to your master account on NcSoft's website and check how much PAID time you have and do the math! I have 1 year and 4 months PAID time, so I would get up to the 15 month Veteran Award which is the wings and all the other awards brfore that for all my toons. Although you wont be able to use all the new items together, like some costume items occupy the same slot on your toon like the trenchcoat and the wings. This is how I understand how it all works!

Yes, you understand correctly! Some items will be a same slot type of reward so you'll have to choose which one you want on each toon. They will all be yours, but can only use 1 at a time, ie., wings/trenchcoat/shoulder cape.

Just make sure when viewing your paid time, you take into record that your paid time will be affected by your pay plan, for example, say ive been playing a year, 11 months paid, (plus the initial free month), and through that time i used 1 month pay plan (nonstop), after my next bill date it will show up as 12 months paid, and I will have 13 months towards veteran awards, however, say instead of 1 month plan my pay plan is a year, that means it will show me the numbers of 2 years payed after my card is billed, however during that time I Still have only been playing 13 months, so dont let this fool u, even if u have payed for 2 years of account time doesnt mean u have 2 years worth of veteran awards, they will eventually host a system that should show exactly how many veteran months you have on your account... Or if you have played nonstop, just start from when your account was created and add up the months.

Yeah...
They're redoing some of the character creation.
They're sticking Capes, Trenchcoats, and Wings all in the new "Back detail" slot =/ It will be another tab like Upper Body, Lower Body, Auras...
Just waiting till it's all on test! =D

Just looking at my paid time, I see I only have 10 months. Now, I'm pretty sure I've played for more than 10 months...that's odd.

Not to worry. When the time comes, they will provide for you the amount of actual playing time you have accrued since opening your account.
Remember, paid time and playing time are 2 different things (which they made notice of in the post). You can prepay for 2 years if you like, however, you just started playing yesterday, giving you all of 2 days of actual playing time.
That's why they stated when I8 hits, they'll supply everyone with their actual ingame time.

Simple way to check. Log into PlayNC.com (ie where your acount is registered) and click on acconut detials, then scrool to the bottom and it says how many active monthes youve had
I have 4 :) though it should be like 9 :@
