wat do u think the next 2 profs will be

i cant even think of the names but seeing the trend of one ranged one melee char every expansion, i think it will be numchuck mastery and crystallizing and the story will be u go back in time and save orr. leave ur thoughts

Go back in time? That would jack Tyria up so badly...It would be cool if that resulted in the change of the Prophecies map to include Orr, but then they'd also have to go back and change the references to Orr throughout the game, like the Scepter (that has a big part in the story)...

Since they seem to be covering different regions with the stuff (Prophecies: Europe-ish, Factions: Asia, Nightfall: Africa), I'm thinking the next one will be quite jungle-oriented (south america).

With that, think tribal. A melee-spear warrior with lesser armor, or maybe a conquistador-like thing with guns (God, I hope not). Or, a tribal priest. Like...pagan shadow crap.

I heard somewhere that there might be a theame like atlantis, so it could be atlantis-esk orr, not sure what the new professions could be, but i'd like to see one that uses marshal arts, and had weapons like tekken (useing idea kinda from baten kaitos :P) but i think it would be cool.

Or maybe the next ocntinent could be Austalia-esque :P ftw. What i want to see in a new profession is a shape shifter, or osmething along those lines, or maybe a brawler like class, more damage output than a warrior, if thats possible.

An Atlantis theme would be AWSOME...how about the orgins of the zaishen? Maybe they came from a continent that sunk? Except the Zaishen are Asian themed and that's already done...a transylvanian theme would be cool...

wat about a heaven theme bet u never thought of that and demons were entering it. for classes, hungry hungry hippos and middle age people. lol jking how about, demon using dark, and fire spells. for second would be nice to have another char like monk, except more for everything. something that increases a allies damage for every second they wait allowing to do like 400 dmg in one powerful swing, but they would be fairly useless in battle, and if there was one in ur party money amount in drops would increase for points in like money wise(primary only), a char like that could completely change a parties way, would exciting.

We had a whole massive thread (6 or more pages long) speculating about possible and/or imaginary character classes, but I'm too lazy to go through and find it. It would be neat if the next 2 were something like out of those, though. Probably the most interesting ones in my own mind were a semi-support class that was based off altering time and space which could teleport other people and change the casting, recharge, and other times for other people's spells, and the other more interesting one was a summoner-style guy who brought up demons and suchstuff and used them to fight (sort of a super MM, except with fewer and more powerful minions).

I would be surprised if the theme for chapter 4 wasn't either north or south american-based, though. As far as real-world regions go, the first 3 chapters have already covered all of the major areas. Unless ANet goes into more specific cultures for an entire campaign, they're gonna have to start making stuff up soon.

well theres a few loss ends i wanna see cleared up, 1. where did the druids go after they left the maguuma, and 2. more of the charr home lands.

I was actually wondering why don't they make a chapter based on the Charr? They played a huge part in Tyria, and the story said they came from the North. Why won't the next chapter set in the lands of Charr, and the story would be to eliminate them, kind of like a revenge for Ascalon.
Or actually, you all remember how there were huge towers in hte water in Tyria (near Divinity Coast) and it told the story that they were standing there to protect from a foreign threat that might invade from the sea...but it never happened.
Why wouldn't it? Mystic sea people combined with Charr would make a nice combination no? People could choose which side to start on, meaning which side to fight AGAINST first, and then somehow the story would combine both somewhere. It would make the storyline quite long actually I think.

I also agree that Orr would be a great chapter, underwater theme (since it sank or what).

But I miss the Charr, they never got wiped out, their threat is still there, their Northern cities are untouched and flowering.

I could be wrong but i remember reading the book and it said the charrs had 4 powerful mages prtect the fire that was like sacred to them and we destroied it in a mission

this would be nice to see:

another plane flys next to the world of gw, and with some dimensional doors, the horde of chaos invades a prevously unoccupied continent.when the heores first arrive there, its already turned into a chatoic realm of some short.huge flesh-like "plants" ( i mean HUGE ) are eating everything in their way, their touch infests the terrain itself!
so the heroes have to fight against chaos in order to save their world ( again ).

I think the atlantis theme would be awesome!
But, continuing on the north/south topic it could be good to go extremeley north or south, like the icecaps.
You could have great new monsters there but not so sure bout the profs. Maybe some kind of hunters witch use smaller traps that could hold the enemy down while u bombard them with a wierd slingy stone thrower thing.
I think that wuld be quite call.

i hope there will be a 2 side lands ( kurzick and luxons ) again but without allience battles and faction.

something like a land that's burning ( volcano's ect. )
and the other half is frozen

and ofcourse a darkness/light lands within the shadow border :D

Shapeshifter = Dervish Elites

Although I must say, Brawlers would be cool. unarmed combat would kick ass, although how would the dmg work out? would they have to wear brass knuckles or something?

Whenever the charr travle out somewhere, they bring with them a torch or something started from their sacredflame. every mini-fire has 4 guardians. So although you killed those particular guardians, others remain.

I think a winterish, cold moutainous theme would be awesome. Kind of like the Shiverpeaks, only much bigger and with a lot more variety in geography. There you be the far northern reaches of the Shiverpeaks, and to one side, maybe tundra and the other, possibly ice floes, frozen wastes and deep caves. I don't know, just the Shiverpeaks are my favourite location in both campaigns so far.

A cool idea would be a second wall, maybe a "lost" wall with sworn guardians that keep the creatures form invading Tyria and beyond. Heck, this could even re-include the Charr like some people said. I dunno, but seeing a giant wall in the distance while travelling through caves, mountains, and canyons made entirely out of ice would be pretty cool to me.

That might have too little variety though to be an entire continent, but it would be really cool to see something like that.

Edit: It's kinda weird how the topic kind of deterred from professions to themes. Meh.

I think it will be Nordic Themed with Ice Wastelands etc

EDIT:Also a land north of Charr Territory so way way way north of Ascalon or for a change playing a tribe of peaceful charr who were'nt tainted by the titans
