Part of SOE's Station Access

QUOTE
Additionally, SOE is tentatively planning on adding Vanguard, upon its release,to SOE’s Station Access™ subscription plan. Station Access allows players to enjoy all of SOE’s MMO titles for one low monthly price.

So, how many of you out there would consider spending $25 a month to have access to all of the Sony Online Entertainment MMOGs?

The only thing I'd really even consider it for is to try out Everquest 1 & 2 along with Vanguard. Although, if I did get it, it wouldn't stop me from trying out the rest of them regardless of how crappy people say they are (Star Wars Galaxies, The Matrix Online, etc). So what do you think?

RE: Part of SOE's Station Access

I don't think I will. I am not really interested in any of the other games. And paying a monthly fee for stuff I don't really care about does not make much sense. But it wouldn't surprise me if Sony is going to force us to use Station Access anyway. And if paying $25 per month is the only way to play vanguard, I will do that. But I hope there will be a Vanguard only subscription for half that price.

RE: Part of SOE's Station Access

I highly doubt they'll force everyone onto the Station Access plan. After all, if they did that, they would have to pay to support the same amount of game for less money coming in.

If I remember how the press release was worded it said it would be an option. For a new MMOG just coming out, I would say that allowing everyone a smaller monthly fee is out of the question as it would cut down on the money they use to support the game.

On the other hand, for someone that plays EQ or some other SOE games that doesn't want to give them up, this gives them a way to pay less for more games.

I will just stick to Vanguard at first. I'm sure I will be busy for a while with this game. Maybe later on, I might go for the whole package.

If I played any of the other games, I would consider it. But I don't play any of those other games. It does seem like a good way for them to try to get more gamers though. Tapping into the established game's member pool.

RE: Part of SOE's Station Access

I have Staion Access and Love it as does most of my guild but it really is quite sharply oriented towards EQ2 players so it is my hope they modify it a bit when Vanguard comes out. If you play more than one game it is an fantasic deal. On a somewhat off topic note I forgot to mention in another post that it included The Matrix Online and I have to wonder if anybody lurking about here has actually played it. I really was just almost spastically thrilled when I heard Vanguard would be included in Station Access. I really look forward to trolling this site like mad this weekend and soaking up all the Vanguard goodness into my shiney dome. :)

I also have the All Access Pass from Sony. The Thing is, as busy as Vanguard looks to be, I think all of my time will be spent there.

No way am I going to have the time for any other games, so I imagine I will drop the All Access Pass and go with VG alone.

At least that is my intent for now.
