Team Play - Defender Empathy/Sonic - Love healing and the sonic because it helps increase everyone's damage
Solo Play - Scrapper Spines/Regeneration - The damage output is great, No endurance problems, and I can take a beating and keep on swinging.

Being the Altoholic that I am, it is hard to say this is my favorite and this is not. It depends on what mood I am in at the time.
If I want to solo, it is blaster or scrapper time. My favorite blaster I have is energy/energy. I just love the sheer killing power. My favorite scrapper I have is my MA/SR he is just tough as nails, so much fun to play, and just hard to hit period. I love seeing dodged, evaded, dodged, evaded all the time. And there is just something about kicking a villain in the jaw. ooooo gives me goosebumps just thinking abou it.
For team play, it is controller or tank. I love my tanks. I have 2 favorites, Invul/Fire tank and my ice/ice
Invul/Fire is great for taking the damage as well as dealing it, almost like a scrapper on steroids. My Ice/Ice tank is a meatshield in every since of the word. I take the damage and hold the agro from my team, unfortunatley not too much on the damage dept. But he can take the damage.
I have 3 favorite controllers that I play all the time. My first is Ice/FF love the holds and slow effects and the ability to help protect my team mates. But my favorite has to be my Earth/Storm. This is a true controller in my oppinion. You want the villains kept under control, here is the set up. Definantly no damage to speak of, but you are a holding and debuffing machine. My third favorite is my Ill/Kin controller. Just all around fun to play,. But VERY honorable mention has to go to Ice/Storm. If I hadn't made an ice/ff and an earth/storm already, ice/storm would be higher on my list. Another true controller set up in my oppinion.
Glasher - Level 50 Ice/bubbles controller
Flaming Rage - level 50 Fire/Invul tanker
Realm Walker - Level 40 MA/SR scrapper
Greshan - Level 29 Peace Bringer
Greffarr - Level 24 Warshade
Lin-Ki - MA/Invul scrapper Level 28 Gameamp SG
Acrtic Hurricane - Ice/storm controller Level 21 Game SG

I'd like to see someone try a Something/Trick Arrow build for a controller. It'd be like 2 sets of controlling in one troller. The trick arrow set has an Immob, -Vis/Acc, AoE slow, hold, minor AoE hold, DeBuff, a -20% res, power similar to Ice Slick, and an AoE superhold. Combine all of these with a good primary, and I'd like to see someone who wouldn't fall prey to that troller. I plan to make an Ill/Trick Arrow named The Arrow of Light myself if I ever get back ingame. Anyone have experience with a Trick Arrow secondary on here?

Super sTrength/Invul Tank. They kick ass. Once they get to the late 20's there's no better or more fun toon to play in the game. Absolutely love mine they just are unstoppable.

My prefer battling with Blasters. Their playability resemble that of the starship in Descent (pc version) and Super Nintendo's Star Fox (I hope I'm not dating myself).
Fire primary is mad cool because I get to burn a lot of stuff up. Energy primary has a cool visual. I like the Energy secondary the best--Build-up, Conserve Power, and Power Boost rock!
Infernal Storm fire/energy/fire blaster
Cosmo Crush energy/energy/force blaster
and many more...

Flat out it is Electrical / Electrical Blaster. I love the Blaster acrh-type. About 17 years ago I made a character for the old pen and paper RPG Villains & Vilgilantes that was built around electrical powers. He become a bit of a signature character for me so when I first started playing CoH I duplicated him as close as I could.

Well...I can definitely say that Controller is my favorite AT. I think it's a tad bit more difficult to say which sets are at the top of my list. They all have their strengths and weaknesses...separately and combined. I'd love to say that Illusion/Radiation is my true love, but there are times when I wish I had a little more of the control element. On the other hand, I think the complete opposite about Earth/Storm. Glacier was spot on when he said that it is the build with the most control ability...But the damage makes soloing almost impossible.
I guess we can just say Controller, and leave it at that. :)

I love my Earth/Kin Troller, I could not stop playing him when I first made him and he is my only fifty. I guess everyone has a build that absolutely enthralls them (lets hope cause its a great feeling) mine would be my Earth Kin.
With Earth you have one of the best (if not argueably the best) holding sets in the game. With Kin you have the ability to buff the life outta your team, between Speed Boost, Fulcrum Shift, Transference and Siphon Power, my teams never run out of end and there damage output increases expotentially. The best thing about this combo is that your primary set powers def debuff the enemy making them easier to hit for everyone, including your fulcrum shift and siphon power which means everyone is hitting for more, and more often. Kin has a built in travel power, opens up a bunch of new powers for you. And Kin's first power is Transfusion which is a targeted heal...
I can say nothing bad about this combo, it's my favorite!
Pinnacle (My server of love)
Geo Wizard: Lvl 50 Earth/Kin With Speed Boost and Stamina yay. Not to mention kick butt holds. Including Volcanic Gases, hehe. And now with his own moronic Animated Stone. And Transference!!! New and improved, 3 lvls in one day, adding to his arsenal Fulcrum Shift..oh yea. Can't wait to get some time under his belt now. I can now hurl Boulders....omfg no he didn't :) I look so pimp in my newest power...its brown and bumpy all over..can you guess?... Thats right is Stone Armor and it is kick butt. Fissure rocks my world! Fifty soon. Fifty on 12-10-2005 at 12:35am after 400hrs of hard labor Wanna throw a special shout out to Illusion Mastor, CBail, Mudpuppy, Jupiter Sweets, Dark Hollow, Lethal Fury, Pan, Majin Tank, Lotus of Death, and all the others i know I am forgetting for their help. And also to all the gameampers here at gameamp whom without I would never have made it.

Fire set from the Blaster Primary. Very AoE!. My 50 has it, and i got to running around since my 20s with the same SS/Invul tank. He would set up the aggro mob then I would move in and start the Aoe chain. Loads of fun. The snipe from the set is a good one too. When combined with Build up from my elec secondary and Aim from the fire primary I could take down those nasty Sappers in one shot. Even some 2 lvls up on me. This worked very well within the team because that would be my first shot before anyone engaged the group.

Dark/Dark defender. Most fun I've ever had with a character. Of course that doesn't count my Warshade which also reeks of versitility.

Controller; Kinetics/ Ice
I think you will never find a more durable and enjoyable team support character.
With the many Kinetics buffs and debuffs, I have been able to avoid wasting power slots on Pools, and have been able to choose almost all of my powers from my Primary and Secondary sets.
I've never played a more action packed and strateigic hero. I can heal, hold, buff, debuff, knockback, -regen, increase density (similar to clear mind), and look freakin awesome while I do it.

Or actually, anything with regeneration!
Also, archery/fire is quite nice

I would have to go with Raz's Claws/Regen. Claws is so fun because of its versatility. 1 buff, 1 debuff, 2 ranged, 2 cone, 2 knockback all fast recharges. With Quick Recovery and Stamina my attack chain is never ending. Combined with Body Mastery I know have 4 ranged attacks, so its almost like I am the toughest blaster on the block.

It's my inv/ss tanker. THere is nothing better than charging in and getting everything on me and then having my brother unleash his full auto on them. Or when everything seems lost and you hit unstoppable and just proceed to tear everything apart while the others get back up and get ready to blast, hold, cut, stab or whatever it is they do to hell. But at the end of the fight you know it was you who gave them the chance to get back into it. Now that's fun!
