| new series of sigs, for you! |

i like messing about in photshop, a lot, so i decided to do a series of sigs, for anyone to use. mostly general purpose ones that anyone can use, and if you really need it i can always modify or customize one specifically for someone, i.e igns etc.
anyway here's the first one, i'm pulling images from all over the place, not just one source, and seeing as anet state they're happy for fansites to use them in a non profit purpose i cant see any copyright issues.
more to come!
the only thing i ask is if anyone uses them, can you please host the image yourself somewhere cos my isp may get mad if my bandwidth goes up in my online storage space :D

wow, tahts really good, could you make one of the third ones but put Mr Manly Monk and John Frusciante I in there (they are my main IGN's) that would be greatly appreaciated if its not too much hard work =).

I want to know htf you get so much detail into a gif?!? 256 colours and compression to keep the filesize down destroys all my images but your's are crisp.
What's the secret??

if i told you, then within 5 steps, your heart would explode and you would die on the spot. no, really it would.
so, my gifs are 128 colours, sometimes dithered if it doesnt affect file size, so they're not even 256. i think the trick is to limit the amount of colours in the original image, a lot of similar toned colours helps, not loads of different ones altogether. i use image ready when playing with gifs as you can see the results of playing about with compression, colour limiting and dithering in real time without having to save first, unlike photoshop.
also,when i import an avi to image ready, i tend to delete every other frame to cut the file size down too
