| Macromedia Flash Help please |

How do you convert a Flash Document into a GIF?
I have macromedia Flash 8 and I have tried clicking on the 'Save as' function to find it but for some reason, It only comes up with 2 types of formats.

File > Export > Export Movie......enter a file name and pulldown the Save as type: box and it has Animated GIF (*.gif)

Anyway, this is what I made from the advice you gave me, It's not much but it's the first time I've animated anything and host it :)

I have another question. Is there any other way you can make a GIFs image quality better?
It' comes out all distorted and fuzzy when I export it.

ok its really hard to see the animation. i couldnt see the animation on the sword but i think i saw animation in the text

You need a new codec .
That way you can have better depth color and DPI
For now try this :
Edit > preferences > clipboard >
color depth 32 bit if you codec supports it .
then change resolution to 300 DPI(dots per inch)
also when exporting chose : 256 colors and set 300 DPI
also under PUBLISH SETTINGS make sure you have flash 8 selected and compres movie disabled .
FILE > EXPORT > MOVIE > ANIMATED GIF
do this even if you exporting and image

ps . flash whitout ANP codec isnt ment to export good formats beside fla and swf

I find it easier to export my flash animation to an uncompressed avi-file. I then load it into imageready to convert it to a ani-gif. Imho; imageready provides a better compression whilst not giving to much in on quality.

For now, What do you guys think?
P.S thanks for the advice thugbeatz. I am going to experiment with all of those ideas in a minute
Travis = I will make the sword animation more noticeable later.
Any opiniouns?
