Hey guys, some of you might (Probably don't) know me from the CoV forums. Yeah, I did it, I switched back over to WoW. >=)
After checking the WoW site, I found that my account and all my characters are still on there. Including my 41 Orc Hunter (Who is officially retired, but still, nice to have on there). **PHEW**
Allthough the account is frozen, 30$, Badabing!! My account is back! I am going to play on the Zul'Jin server with my Half-Brother and his Dad. My bro, (16 years old) has a 52 Night Elf Rogue, and his dad has a 60 Night Elf Hunter. Let's see, im starting at 1...so, only around 60 levels behind?? =P
Im having a hard time choosing my character, but I think I found what I want to do. Male Dwarve Gun Hunter(Check out Avatar) His talent build is 17/44/0
Why not Night Elve?? -Because I don't really like Night Elves too much, yeah they're cool, but too many people play them, plus, they have really weird animations(Dance, shooting, etc.)
Guns or Bows?? -To me, it seriously depends on your race, for example, Tauren with a bow, uhm....no. Male Dwarf with a bow, uuh......nope. Night Elves with a gun...haha <--Now that one is just funny XD But since im Dwarf, im just gonna roll Guns, no bows, ever.

Not sure if you're a big RP guy or not but from a strategy standpoint, guns are weaksauce at endgame compared to Bows and Xbows. I hope you use bows at somepoint or you'll end up at the bottom of the dmgmeters every run. From a RP standpoint I feel ya though, I have a NE Hunter and have never used a gun and never will, luckily the best ranged weapon in the game isn't a gun.

I'm to much of a RP'er to give a character a gun that shouldn't have one. I don't think a NE would ever pick up a gun (well maybe a messed up one *grin*).
Are guns really inferior to bows and xbows?

Currently the best weapons for a hunter in the game are:
Rhok'delar - Epic BOW
Lok'delar - Epic STAFF

Generally guns aren't inferior to bows but at endgame they are very much so.
Rhok'Delar the hunter epic quest weapon is a bow, far better than any gun you'll get in MC. Ashje'therul Crossbow of Smiting is the best ranged weapon in game(yes even better than Soulstring from Naxx). As the name implies it's a Xbow. Any gun beyond UBRS will benefit your guild's rogues/warriors far more than it ever will benefit a hunter.

So guns are inferior for a hunter, not just over all. I'm playing a rogue, and have taken up guns. I just wanted to make sure they weren't bad for everyone.

Rogues and warriors wear ranged weapons cause of their stats >only< and pulling so they have different aspects for which weapon is the best ranged weapon.

Yeah I really don't care about if its good, really, I ussually care if it fits the toon.
Endgame, are the Epic Bows and stuff REALLY that much different from the guns? I mean, c'mon, it really can't be that much, I can suffer a few 0.* dps just for my weapon to look and play cooler. =)

It actually is a huge difference at endgame, with Rhok in lesser gear than most of the other hunters I finish the run around 150k-200k damage above the others(one of them using the Blastershot Launcher, epic gun) If that's the way you play that's totally cool I'm just attempting to inform you of the statistical advantages of bows.
