HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My problem is it says connect for like 1hour the says disconnected sometimes it goes to character screen then i press connect and same thing happens plz help

Reset your connections. If it is still having trouble connecting. Then there is a problem somewhere between the path of your ISP and ArenaNet.

It's hard to say excatly what the problem is. Have you tried a simple reboot? If that doesn't do the trick, maybe it's your ISP. If you still have troubles, check the guild wars support page http://www.guildwars.com/support/

It says that they're not currently having any troubles.

One more thought, do you have any Anti Virus Software running? Try turning that off and see what happens.

I have this problem all the time, and I went out of my mind for weeks trying to figure out what the problem was.

Reset your router/switch and that all it took for me.

How do you connect to the internet? Cable, DSL, Satallite, Dail-up? If you use one of the first three, simply unplug the Modem/Router/Switch for a couple of minutes, that will reset them.

I will assume that you have a broadband connection. :p

Is the router set-up properly, like subnetmask, dns, etc?

yea it is i do have broad band guild wars was workn for 4months and i havent chanaged internet type evrything is set up right

Do you use any out of the ordinary ports or routers/switches etc...? I ordered vonage and after reciveing and setting it up. It turnd out the small switch they gave us decided it wanted to be the network admin. Which obviously lead to the Moterolla 922 and I having a fist fight in my kitchen. Anyway, if you are using anything new on your network than you have previously used check it out. If that dosen work open up CP and type ping -t www.yahhoo.com and make sure you're sending/recieving the proper bytes.
