LAN Party Questions

I am aware of how to setup a lan, and i got the basics down. I know i need muliple PC's that all can play UT2004, which i have covered. But what i need to know is are there any pros or con to just doing the easy HOST GAME, for a LAN. Or have my friends all sign online and click on LAN? And secondly if i own UT2004 Retail version, i am assuming i cannot copy the CD'S or reinstall it on multiple Computers. So if i have 5 PC's and i have UT2004 installed on my PC and my friend has it installed on his, what do i do about the three other PC's. Is there any way around it, or do i just have to tell my friends to all PURCHASE UT2004, for my LAN PARTY? I was thinking about downloading the UT2004 DEMO version on the other 3, but i wasn't sure if that would work. So any tips or hints and answers would be great. I know its a lot to take in...sorry.

RE: LAN Party Questions

In lan games, as far as i know, there is no security checks. So, go and install the same version in all of your friends machine. Better, just copy the installation folder and the registry and you are ready to frag :D
