yeah that game is pretty good , i have it. You will be dissapintied in the Konquest mode. Great story, but it is shockingly very short. Although having a bad Konnquest, the Arcade mode is freking awesome! you have over 60 players in you srsonal when u start the game.... I have a question for the ppl who has this game. How the hell do you unlock Blaze?!?

I really think you should save your money. I mean if you love mortal kombat you'll enjoy the game just for the sheer amount of characters and the ability to create your dream matches. They also left the basic fighting unchanged but that where the goodness ends.
They reworked the fatality mode into some bogus "Kreate a fatality" thing where you have to input commands quickly to pull off a peice of a ten part fatality, the more you pull off the faster the timer goes. In the end fatalities arent as satisfying as they were in the other MK games.
Midway tried to throw in a "Kreate a character" mode but its not all that great. While they do give you everything you need to create trademark anime and movie characters like Sailor Moon, Goku, The Terminator and Ghost Rider, it just wasnt enough to hold my attention. One of the many small problems i had with it was that some of the attacks and weapons you just couldnt use. Like for example: Sektor's dual pulse blades and Cyrax's single pulse blade are not accessible as a weapon style and neither are tonfas or Tarkatan claws useable. Styrker's tazer and machine gun attacks were also not useable for range attacks on your created fighter.
The biggest problem i had with it was that in order to quickly raise the money to buy the items, you had to play though at least half of the abysmal konquest mode. Konquest is nothing more than a shaolin monks clone with out the co-op that made it a fun game to play with your roommate over the weekends at 2:30 in the morning when you are both hoped up on Mountain Dew, coffee and pixie sticks.
Remember in MK:Deception where they had the cool puzzle combat and chess combat? Well, those went bye-bye, replaced by a Motor Kombat game. Think Mario Kart with MK characters. If you are thinking "Train Wreck" you are correct.
Like i said, if you love MK you will enjoy it. If you dont follow MK that religiously i recommend renting it before you shell out 40+ bucks to buy it. In all honesty, after playing MK:A, I really hope this is the last mortal kombat game
