Picked it up this morning (New Zealand).
And wow - the map looks very busy. Lots to do!!!

Thats when the games starts but they've shipped the box. Got my art book, 2 skill badges, 2 posters, instruction book and some sort of cardboard pop out thingy!?
Plus CD and key of course.

Firstly: no one is able to play till friday, whether they have a copy of the game or not. This is because the servers will not allow you access to nightfall until then :)
Secondly Anet has to ship copies of the game all over the world, and for them to be out in time they must ship to places before the 27th, so they can be sold on that date. Although the official release date is 27th, some stores seem to have sold it early. This may be because the release date was allowed to be a little early for shipping purposes in those countries. Or, game shops have been known to break release dates before to sell copies, but it's a bit naughty.

Just a little question for those who already own their copies: Can the key be registered at this moment or must it be on friday? (I know that Nightfall can only be accessed from friday on, its just a thought).

When I tried to add it on Friday, it said I'm adding a factions+prophecies key, so I cancelled.
I tried again yesterday, and it said I'm adding a nightfall CE key, so it's safe now.
Though you won't get the slots until Friday's Nightfall Start Update ;)

Yes, the same happened to me thats why I wanted to clear it up before doing some kind of big mistake ^^ .
