So how exactly are we supposed to make money now?

With all the farming nerfs what can we still do for money?
Also I was wondering if you all think the prices of Kunny mini pet will drop since people aren't making money anymore.

now that farming is gone and money is hard to get, the prices of items will drop especially with the new salvage update, you can make perfect items really easy.

not every single farming spot is nerfed, gah....but as the person above said, just run peeps, or farm places like sf or tombs, or solo green items to sell, farming is far from dead, just use your head :D

I did a run yesterday and it took maybe a minute longer than normal because of this - you're a ranger if you're doing this and you can just shoot them as they run away.

keep in mind the aggro system is messed up right now, and you won't always have them constantlyhitting you, so you'll have to switch targets a little bit to shoot the low health ones, or body block them if you can.

When I used to farm with my warrior I did it with Gladiator's Defense and Cyclone axe. So frankly nothing has changed for that build. Ranger trapping and barrage still works too. Never used my monk for farming unless it was undead killing and Rotscale hunting anyway.

they run away from AoE still, but only if they're low on health and don't see themselves beating you. (they take turns retreating and regenerating, so it takes longer to kill them as they're always swapping between taking hits, and regenerating.

Yeh but Glad's Defense isnt an AoE though is it? So it should still work perfectly fine. I can't remember half of the skills but there should be ones to help finish off enemies near the end. In Bergen for example I use the elite smite signet to finish off all adjacent opponents. Just experiment till you find something that works. And what do we need money for other than what people refer to as 'vanity items' collecters weapons are cheap and Greens can be had by all with a little patience. So saving cash for an ultimate weapon with your fave skin and mods is that much more rewarding.

The enjoyment you actually get from getting these uber items is pretty small compared to how you build it up for yourself.

I do sympathise with people who actually enjoyed farming though. I found it enjoyable for a little while myself. But I was far more used to chatting and messing around too much in FoW and UW and everyone getting killed. Ooh and playing chicken with Vamp bows. Much more fun :p

Apparently, any skill that causes damage to foes around you is considered AoE. Glads = AoE. Triple Chop = AoE. SoJ = (obviously) AoE.

I'm trying to remember what my friend said exactly last night when the EMERGENCY SITUATION happened. What my friend thought they were fixing was that the AoE update was supposed to affect melee type creatures ONLY, not as much spellcasters. The AoE update glitched, making monk foes run and keep on runing, along with other casters.

Its just an idea, but its plausable.

It's not AoE that makes them run anymore, it's just damage. If you start whopping on just one enimy in a group, he'll run away and the others will stay, when you damage another one he'll run away and the other one will come back.

easiest way to see what i mean is to try a simple troll run.

They also consider SV and AV aoe so 2 man UW famine farming no longer works either... which is too bad cuz i really like doing it. I tried famine farming trolls with a friend 55, and after a little bit of dmg from famine the trolls stopped attacking the monk and went after me, even after I ran and SV and AV were gone they wouldnt attack the monk at all. It was weird, a-net has to fix these problems.

i just got my pc working the other day and went on GW earlier today. i decided to farm our side droknar's with my ele. didn't change any of the skills and i cleared the ice cave in the same amount of time as the i would normally and didn't die. so to me farming is not dead!!!.

god, i hate all these nerfs, the only reason i liked gw was because it was simple, like in prophecies. with nightfal the game becomes too complicated

or if you are a ranger you can solo grawls outside portsledge.
with edge of extinciton some run and dodge skills and mark of pain. It's really easy ( sometimes) and you can get like 23 k an hour. i hope they didnt nerf it yet?
