| Great Idea for the Website! |

I noticed that the Save template thing has alot of potentinal.
So why not make a section of the website that players can submit template/Builds, then other people can go to it and download it.
And to keep people from spamming this area with useless builds, you would first have to have a title, a brief summery, and a "how to use" manual that has to be at LEAST 500 words.
Then a Board Mod could look through it to make sure nothing is being abused, or taken advantage of.
And in case something does slip by there could be a "report this build" which would alerat the Admins to take a closer look at the Build Addtion.
So what do you people think, I really want to hear from the Admins and players alike.

I could actually see something like this happening with the Guides sections now. But there is too much of a threat, uploading txt files.

Dont upload txt files, just place the build 'code' in the guide.
All ya have to do is open up the txt file that contains the build, copy/paste it in the guide, then the readers can just copy/paste it into a text file in their builds folder.

Although I shouldn't promise too much yet, let me just say that a couple of the staff members, myself included, very quickly latched onto this idea of the templates, as they are just .txt files. Just know that it has been suggested and we are (eagerly) looking into it :)

In the meantime though we can just do what mwpeck suggested. They're pretty short codes.

Well, if the system was put into place, most likely all uploaded media would be screened by the staff first, so there is little to no risk to the user. Although I would prefer not to download virus to take the hit for you guys :P
There is also the problem of innappropriate content from some "funny" members, and people purely uploading rubbish because they can.
Like I said above, it is a system we will look into, in depth, before it is implemented, but it would be great to be one of the first websites to utilise the template system within our own guides etc, so your support as a community in this matter is greatly values :)

Sounds good, Im hoping to have 100+ build templates by the end of NF, and would willingly contribute them all if there was an easy/quick system in place.
This is my old account.
