What do ampers really look like?

After a discussion with some other ampers in game, I wanted to pose a question/idea to the general population of the site.

I'm sure many of you have seen some SG sites that the members post pictures of the face behind their masks. Would anyone else think it would be a cool little thing to have here so we could actually see what each other looks like?

Well, I'll be the first then. Don't laugh...

Ok, for serious now :) anyone else interested?

I don't think this would be a good idea. One of the many benefits of a MMO is the idea that you don't know really who you are talking to, so you can relax and 'act' normal (for the most part, of course). If i knew you looked like an axe murderer, then i doubt i'd talk to you the way i talk to you now.

I think this is similar to reading a book. When you read a good book, you come up with this picture in your mind of what the characters look like. But, if the movie comes out and puts a face to the character, then the whole mystic is ruined. We all know thejeni is beautiful, but if we knew how beautiful, then it's entirely possible, we'd turn into a group of bungling idiots coming up with the stupidest pick-up lines ever heard.

besides, nobody wants to look at my ugly face :D

And as for this, random drive by posting by those whacked out WoW Ampers, that game seeps into their brains and alters them. I think it has something to do with the water in Azeroth. Strange place it be.

seems i need to do a little explaining.. (fools! how can you not comprehend what i'm saying! It's not like ich spreche ein andere sprech!

First, to big:

3. Don't have any camera or technology that would allow me to get a pic up here.

4. (answer edited, due to...other reasons..)

those should be good enough for ya.

(hmm...it's odd that no one called me on that earlier post yet.. perhaps they were just distracted by big's "ooh, look at the cute 5 year old on the guy's shoulders" pic.. wait.. why is the red light still on.. "What?! why didn't you tell me the mic was still on?!)

1. Download Irfanview (free program).

2. Open file in Irfanview.

3. Go to Image ---> Resize. Type in the percentage you want to shrink it to. Save.

Thanks for the info! So what I understand is that you have to upload your images to your image gallery first then link them from there to your posts!? Seems like a lot of work to upload a pic! I'll try it.....

It's not terribly hard. And if you happen to use Firefox or Netscape Navigator or any browser with tabbed browsing, it becomes easier. I just get a tab going with Gameamp, and another with my Photobucket pictures, and copy back and forth!
