Double Dye Event

The last one just ended and the new one is already comming a double dye weekend

This weekend, you will have double the chance of scoring a dye drop in Elona. Come to the land of Nightfall and stock up on dyes for all your new characters. The event starts at Noon PST on Friday, November 3rd, and runs through 11:59 p.m. PST on Sunday, November 5th. Truly, this is an event to dye for.

It is only for Nightfall Chars

Their is a good drop rate at black dyes, had one Saturday.

But their cheap now.

i still need 8k to get 100k and i want 200k, so this is a good chance for people that like to get some money.

It should also work for character that are brought to Elona (Which many would not consider Nightfall characters.)

This may have been what you meant but I wanted to make it clear, because the notice did not say anythign about which characters got double drops only that it happened in Elona only.

I'm not sur eif the prices will actually recover a whole lot, especially with how Nightfall is affecting the overall economy of the game. Plus, who's to say that ANET doesn't do something about the gap between Black/White dyes vs the others in that time frame? As of late ANET has, at least to me, been pretty hands on in attempting to manage, correct and somewhat control the economy.

Of course this is going to happen AFTER I spent the money to dye my armor black, ugh...

O well at least I will be able to make my money back, after waiting a month or so, so prices go back up...

i didnt have time to read the posts so idk if someone said this

but when a new item (white dye) is introduced to the economy it is usually overpriced, so i think they want to bring the price down a bit

Has anyone even noticed an increase in the dye drop rate? I've killed numerous enemy in Elona over the past 12 hrs. without one dye drop of any color. I've had much better success killing charr on a normal day and getting dye.--However, I am not on the main continent. Perhaps it is locationally dependent beyond simply "Elona"?

A simple "Yes" answer would at least let me know the effort may still be worth pursuing.

Hi. Got to say dye drop rate doesn't seem to be much different. Suppose though double rate isn't going to affect it that much. How often do you get dyes anyway. Twice that amount is still going to be pretty infrequent.

Well so far I have been dye farming outside Kamadan in Plains of Jarin and I must say it is rather infrequent the dye drops im getting... 1 run of killing nearly every creature around there I will get around 7 or more dyes, then another 6 or so runs I will get nothing... so far 4 white 2 black and numerous others but I cant really say that its "double" I might just be getting the normal amount as when I got bored of that and went Dragon Moss farming, I got 4 dyes in 1 run and its suppose to be Elona only recieving the double drop rate.

getting exactly the same as OJ. seen no actual increase in the rate of de drops, i was clearing plains of jarin as soon as nf came out with my lvl 20 for dyes, and no increase what so ever.
