hey fellow community of wow :)
im new in this game so i want some tips ^^
i want to now what's better.. Warrior or Paladin for my 1st char. that's all and thanks ;)

Welcome to the Wow GameAmp side. I like to start in new games with Paladins as they generally get to work good armor and have heals which makes things a bit more forgiving while you learn the ropes but that is just my 2 cents worth. You came here at what might be just the right time as some others have mentioned in the forums that they are just starting out. Happy Gaming.

I would say it all depends on your perfered play style. We do have an excellent Guide that should help you decide.

Paladin is the easier class to play, however, as a Warrior you will be more satisfied - they can deal immense amount of damage, and have a clear role of tanking with lots of aggro generations skills.
Paladins have very poor DPS, and cannot hold aggro very vell. You'll probably spend most of your days standing around throwing in the odd heal or blessing and very little else.

Also, the horde will eat you alive if your a paladin. Most
hated class ever (by horde). Also known as Loladins.
Hail the paladin - great and proud
Claims the territory - strong and stout
But when horde arrives, they bubble hearthstone out

Btw this is a joke. Pick whatever you find most interesting :)

Jeni is exactly right. I always tell people to play what they think sounds like the most fun. Everyone likes different things. Read the guide and decide what you like.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there. You are right that the paladin dps is trivial compared to the warrior's, but we have don't really have any aggro problems. It's our mitigation where we fail because to tank we need all the stats the warrior needs (except strength) and intellect, and mp5, and spelldamage. We need too many stats to be on-par with warriors or druids for single-target tanking. For multiple mobs, however, you really want a paladin to tank (which basically means that we only become useless after karazhan).
I would also like to point out that warriors can't do 'Immense amounts of damage' when they are specced to tank and that they can't tank if they're specced for damage.
So basically:
for dps you should go for warrior.
for end-game raid tanking you should go for warrior.
for heroics tanking you should go paladin.
for being the best single-target healer in the game you should go paladin.
I suggest you level one of each to 20 or something and stick to the one you like though. It really comes down to how much fun you find a class to play. I for example really can't play mages. Personal preference is most important.

some somewhat pissed me off, the fact that some1 not playing a pally would try and sum up the class saying were crap? dont speak such garbage unless u know what your talking about.
that aside yes pally does have SOME problems but with patience they are easily fixed and will rape the shit clean out of any warrior.
the pally is an excelent mob control tank making them excelent for 5man instances are IF your lucky and have connections you can get a spot as a raid tank, there healing capabilities also supasses the other classes when it comes to endurance and there accecpted as healers 100% of the time for raids and instances without hesitation.
now as for dps...this is somewhat of a hard topic since majority of people think pallys suck and cant dps but im glad to say with proper gear you can out dps alot of classes. BUT this takes quite abit of time and patience, it also reqs that you go heavily into black smithing before it pays off but when it does there no better joy then crushing ass holes that think pallys suck :)

iv played war and pally, and i cudnt lvl my war past 45 so my opinion is its pally power FTW. since it seems your going for a melee class id also advise the rogue (mad dps low armor) and the shammy which is a mix of war and pally.

Mmm, yes indeed. I made a female night elf warrior once and for the only reason that I liked their style with two handed weapons. I still have her too, she's lvl 24 I believe...

Haha that was my first thought. I saw the, I made a warrior and I'm 64, I was like well crap, maybe I AM a slow leveler...lol.
