So I8 this week? Maybe today?

10:30 AM EST, and the servers are still down. Is this the day I8 hits? The devs say they want it out before thanksgiving, so it IS very possible. What say you all? I have to sa, thsi is the first issue I've been happily awaiting since I4. Everything else with all the varied nerfs I've been dreading, and I7 was a non-issue for me as I really don't play that much villains.

It could very well be the day but dont be dissappointed when the servers return and there is nothing new. I too heard much talk that they wanted the update out by Thanksgiving and w/ all major issues resloved before break but that doesnt give them much time to resolve any that pop up between now and Wednesday.

Maybe States has some leftover pumpkins from halloween that he made them all pie to tide the staff he holds hostage over Thanksgiving break. Make them work right thru, damn slave driver.

thanksgiving is a day where Americans gather with their families and have large meals of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, pie, etc. Then we sit around and watch football till we fall asleep. It is to celebrate the "friendship" between the early settlers and the indians. And its thursday. The next day is the official beginning of the Christmas shopping season called "Black Friday" or "Green Friday" (depending on where you work) because of the amount of customers and stores with huge sales.

Thanksgiving is an American holiday where we celebrate a supposed feast held between the British colonial settlers and the Native Americans during the crucial, early years of our nation. It's held each year on the last Thursday in November.

Basically, we all get together, eat until we can't walk, and reflect on the things that we're thankful for in our lives. The Dutch should look into it. :)

Thanksgiving is on the *edit* fourth *edit* Thursday in November. We Americans eat a lot (surprised?), and traditionally watch either Football or the parade.
-The parade is sponsered by Macy's (an American department store that sells clothes and other household doodads), and features baloons shaped like popular characters from American cartoons, intercut with segments from Broadway musicals and the inane chatter of American "newscasters". The enitre affair takes place in New York City.
- The feast is meant to celebrate a feast between the Pilgrims and the Native Americans. The Pilgrims were seperatists(sp?) from the Church of Endland, and after a shorst stint over in the Netherlands, landed in Plymouth, Massachussetts in 1620 aboard the Mayflower. The Native Americans of the Wampanog tribe helped the Pilgrims survive the winter, and so they had a feast.
-Traditional Thanksigiving food includes Turkey, gravey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce (yuck!), and greenbeans, though most families have their own traditions. Thanksgiving is meant to be a time when the family gather together and reflects on all the things they are thankful for.
-Some people are opposed to Thanksgiving, because they feel that the image of Europeans and Native Americans eating together happily "whitewashes" over years of opression and hard feelings. I am not among those people, but I will not get into why, because it tends to make people mad.

And that, my European friend, is the story of Thanksgiving.

As a footnote, I want to add that in Canada (at least in Catholic and French speaking Quebec but maybe in the whole country too) Thanksgiving is purely a Religious holiday held on the first Sunday of October. It simply is a day of prayer and reflexion, thanking God for everything in our lives, including our life itself, with a family gathering around a feast of turkey and such to celebrate the event.

In 2006 tho', with the widely spread desertion of religious practices in the French speaking majority, it is now simply a national holiday without much tought given to it's religious significance and origin.

That's what over 200 years of an overprotective Church's social and political repression can do, even to some odf it's own old traditions...

Ahhh, Thanksgiving where Mom & Grandma spend the entire day cooking a massive feast for a bunch of male ingrates who eat themselves stupid & then watch football while Mom & Grandma clean up the dining room, kichen & anywhere else the food prep mess was all while keeping the kids out of the mens way while they rcover from their gluttony while sitting on their butts watching football.(I love run on sentences)

I personally will fix a dinner for my college aged kids & their respective boy/girl friend. Set it out on the table for people to gnosh on until they can't eat anymore. Then I will disappear into my room where I will play CoX until my eyes fall out of my head & they clean up the mess.

I cook -- they clean.

Oh and I will listen to football (the Chiefs play ) on the radio.

And what am I thankful for? I have 2 fairly well adjusted kids who moved out(-- and stayed --), I have a job that pays the bills, I still have my health, my elderly parents still have their health & I am currently at peace with the world. What more can a girl ask for?

Except maybe Sean Connery. But that leads elsewhere.

Ugh...just had the 1st of 4 Turkey day dinners, this one I looked forward to though, Nas and I made our 1st Thanksgiving dinner together and She's one heck of a cook! I feel like I'm ready to explode but it was soooo worth it, as for the rest of you Ampers Here's to a wonderful and safe Turkey-day! enjoy the food and football.

Back in the day it was set that most Updates would come out on Tuesday but thats not always the case. Some have gone out on Wednesday and Thursday. I even want to say one Monday. As for time of release that is just as sporadic. I remember one issue came out about 330pm eastern, some in momrning, some mid-day.

If they want a release before Thanksgiving they better get on teh ball. If it doesnt hit today, we wont see it tomorrow.

GO CHIEFS !!!!!!!!!! The game will be on WDAF channel 4 or the NFL network also. So make sure you sill have some pumpkin pie to eat during the game.

i'm thankful for lavar burton and reading rainbow, butterflies and lillipads, sparticus, the history of the world, stacey keibler, tankers, captain morgan and budweiser, the hot receptionist we just hired, hot dogs with sauerkraut, sidney crosby, bill cowher's mustache, the pussycat dolls, hot zombie t-shirts, the central florida fishing report, a smokey scent filling my office, a possible evacualtionand my boss not being at work until 12 today.
