GameAmp Updater Problems?

If you have any problems with the new GameAmp Updater, this is the place for you to post them. So if you come across any bugs, problems, or just have a question this is the place to put it.

We will be checking this thread on a regular basis to make sure we get all your problems taken care of.

The big question is when ... when ... when will the uploader mod be available. I, for one, can hardly wait to use it.

Soon... very, very soon. Just keep your eye on the Download WoW Amp link on the left hand side under community. Once it is ready, it will be there.

Also you can be sure that if no one else announces it's availability I surely shall. So just keep an eye out for the announcement.

yes it currently is in need of updating since the 2.0 patch. Hopefully, it will be ready soon.

Yes, they pulled it down to get the rest of the "kinks" worked out of it. the 2.0 patch did some wonderful things to addons...

We're working on it! We had a working 2.0 version but somewhere along the line some changes were lost, hence the confusion and the non-working download that was posted. ><

Ok hold up. What happened to the "If no one announces it out, I surely will?"...(Ok, sorry, just reread the ampwow.com post and saw you stuck it in at the very bottom... :D)and I'll try out this new version for 2.0.3 that was throw out as well, and see if that error still occurs before posting about it...

I think you hide these news posts from me until I say something...then a little demon makes them appear and makes me look stupid...

Oh yeah, how come you don't have any new info on the
"Download Updater"(Wow that sounds weird, Download an uploader...) page? Like at least the latest download link?
Umm, ok. I'll try the new version anywho, and see how it goes.

Just to be sure I'm clear on this; is the updater not working after 2.0.3?

Also what about the CharacterProfiler? I've loaded the mod, saved my two 60s, but when I log in on the Amp Wow site, I can't seem to get the option to upload my character profile.

I was finally able to upload my CharacterProfile.lua file. Wwhen I try to click on my character "Vargn", however, I get an error message stating: no data for Vargn on Kel'Thuzad.

He is listed in the Gear rankings, but the profile is inaccessible it seems.

Is there anything I need to do in order to correct this, or is it related to an out-of-date file?

Yikes! I see what you mean. I'm guessing it might be the apostrophe in the server name - I'll try to get that fixed today.

I changed my signature from Ctprofiles to Ampwow. I couldn't stand how my browser window resized every time I viewed the ct profile.

This is not a problem, per se, but the picture for the rogue talent: Shadowstep, at the end of the Subtlety tree is not showing.

No worries really, just a heads up.

LOL - Well, you inadvertently revealed another bug - the links in your sig don't work. I've fixed that and another problem I found in the process. Re-copy those links for your characters and you should be all set.

-Kel'Thuzad is a PvP server, not PvE as it is currently listed.

-The other thing is, I don't know if you really want to show so much information, specifically Guild Notes for each character. There are some in my guild that are not "safe for all ages" so to speak.

I hope I'm not annoying you with all this feedback, but I noticed an issue with the Items -> Armor -> Miscellaneous section.

If I click on Items -> Armor, I can see trinkets/rings/necks in the list as Item Type - Miscellaneous. However, if I click on Items -> Armor -> Miscellaneous, only 6 items show up and those are tradeskill tools, from Item Class - Weapon, not Item Class - Armor.

Is there a search tag missing that prevents these from being listed?

I got this error 80% of the time i looted something.. I also got an error (it might not have been the same.. forgot to screen it) when i entered a dungeon.. That error whenever I loot.. or atleast almost whenever I loot is very annoying as you probably understand. :) Maybe its just something wrong from my side though.. But ive done everything ''by the book''.

Check out Pirates of the Burning Sea... Yarr! We got some interestin stuff goin on!

Ok, both the errors listed in this thread have been fixed (as far as I can tell). I've uploaded the newest version and I'll be making a news post now.

Using Gameamp Updater v1.0b, I ran the program and clicked Submit. The process window that appeared remained completely black, no text appeared, but the button changed from Cancel to Done after 30 seconds.

Previous to this version I used to see text showing each type of file that was updated or checked for new information. Should that text still be appearing or is this version of the Updater not echoing each step in the that window?

I seem to be having this issue as well and I don't believe it is an intention change as it only started recently and was previously showing the steps. This may be caused by the patch they put out last night.
