How longs it been on test? Oct roughly? I want a bug free update but how much time do they need to fix these things. I can wait for the update but I wish they would really fix the in-house set up. Get some time frames set.
1) New info about future update (2 weeks to 1 month after most recent update)
2) Update In house (after most recent update 1 to 2 months)
3) Update to Test (2 months after most recent update)
4) Update to Live (3-4 months after most recent update)
That would allow them to shoot out anywhere from 3-5 updates a year. Thats alot to me and gives them plenty of time to make, test, and w/e else they do. But anyways, least we have some sort of time frame and not wondering everyday when this will hit. Wish they would of said that last week though.
I checked a post of mine, we got info on I8 in August, to Test on 10/12 and now we are over month and 1/2 of test. If they take any more time we are looking at nearly 2 months.

Post-Thanksgiving launch? That doesn't say anything, except that it won't be before Friday. That could be sometime in December. Can't they be more accurate than that? Does that mean this weekend? Next week? Next month? And if they were going to do this then why say in the official forums that it will be before Thanksgiving? Ok, rant over. Got it out of my system. I feel better.

Better be Monday November 27th. I'm tired of waiting. I like Grif's timeline. Works for me. What I really want is truthful updates on where in the process an issue is. I'd rather they tell me an actual day the issue will hit live, not "after Thanksgiving". If something bug-ish comes up, then tell us they have to roll it to the following week. Put an end to this "by Thanksgiving", "after Thanksgiving", "maybe by Christmas", "the 5th of never" crap.

Actually, from what I saw on test, it looks like lag might be less. It looked to me like they are blurring the distance a little bit more and that actually cuts down on the processing required.

I am going to take the "glass half full" approach here and speculate that "post Thanksgiving" means... right after Thanksgiving!!
Oh and it might be time to provide the typical perspective of free updates = free enhanced gameplay
free updates = free expansions to explore
basically free is free... and free has no time limits

Let me clear it all up once and for all. They are waiting for me. My DSL line should be activated on 27th. But I won't be around to actually log in till 8th of December. So when I finally get back online on 9th of December, I8 will be released. They are just waiting for my signal. The reason they didn't say that straight away is because there was a change I would log in on friday, but is not going to happen. So everybody will have to wait till 9th. Sorry guys.

Technically its not free, we do pay a subscription fee each month. And some of us have been paying that for 2 years...2 years plus...so....14.99 x 24 months (exclude a month or two) = 360 dollars....now I heard that the user base for CoH/V is anywhere from 100k to 250k (maybe...its been awhile)....lets take the 1/2 of those two numbers. Lets say 175k. Now, 175,000 x 360 = 63,000,000 dollars. That number can probably be a lil less and mind you I did times by 24 months when really its been well over that time. And that sir is a chunk of change, thats not even including the price to purchase game (CoH or CoV), buying GvE edition, Collectors Editions, and w/e online crap they can hock.
No to say that this stuff free is mistake. Guild Wars, has no subscription fees. Sure they have to pay for the major updates by purchasing a new game box but thats not every month. And even there, if Im not mistaken, they get minor patches and upgrades to the game. As customers we pay for this service and expect things in a slightly timely manner. I dont demand that we get upgrades and such every month or even 2 months. What I would like is a timeline or better idea of whats going on. They really get evasive on some things. I understand why they may do it but not all the time. Anyways, point is its not techincally free. Any way you do it we pay for the upgrades and I for one would like to see them become more constant.
As for I8 itself, no new powersets. There are Vet Award powers: Sands of Mu, The Wheel of Destruction, some Axe of Doom and maybe something else. There probably wont be any new powersets on CoH till CoV gets new ones. You know the whole "balance vision" and such. Maybe they can just combine I8 and 19 and give it to us on 3rd anniversary for CoH?

Actually I think this is the Wheel....
It can be a base item, you can park it in the exclusive garage or hangar for your base.
