Mo/D 55, a new spin on an old favorite. (dont delete your 55 yet!) 

now i was scanning guru for a new monk solo build when i came across the idea of using mystic regeneration with a 55. so the inspiration comes from there hence why i'm not making a guide. But here is the build i can up with and it works well on wardens in altrum ruins and hydras. They still scatter but there is nothing to do to stop this. so here is the build:
attributes:
8 healing (5+3)
16 smiting (12 +1 +3)
13 protection (10+3)
9 divine favor (6+3)
3 earth prayers

1. protective spirit (essential for 55'ing)
2. mystic regeneration (like healing breeze but better because it lasts for 20 seconds)
3. shield of judgement (you damage dealer)
4. signet of mystic wrath (used to speed things up and so you dont have to waste soj if one enemy is left with like 30% health)
5. blessed signet
6. mending
7. balthazar's spirit
8. blessed aura

cast 6-8 and then use blessed signet.
use 1 and 2 before you agro a group and re-apply as necessary. cast shield of judgement when you know it wont be interrupted. with wardens this would be right after the melee ones start to attack becuse they have knock down. withy hydras this would be after they have all used their meteor. when they start to scatter use signet of mystic wrath on one with very low health, this will help thing out the crowd making the number of monsters closer to that magic number of 3. Rinse and repeat this until all monsters are dead.

Final notes: you do not have to spam mystic regeneration. spamming it does not trigger the divine favor bonus so there is no need. only spam prot spirit if you need extra health or are a beginner 55 and dont feel secure enough to just sit there.

this is what i am currently using and am going to test this out on other monsters. it will probably not work against trolls though because you have no anti interruption skills.


i would like to know if this would be worthy of making a guide out of. so if a site member could tell me right up front i wont have to go through the painful process of making a guide for nothing.

I think my monk will be happy with this =) haven't played my monk because of the nerf, so now i will play him all th time to get this build and try things out.

The 55 has already been updated somewhat vs melee characters in the forum of Shield of Absrorption. It reduces damage by 5, which is the perfect amount for someone who only takes 5 damage :)

As long as the foes don't use much degen you can counter small amounts with mending and just divine favour boot from casting SoA. Needs bumping Blessed Aura to make it last slightly longer though I think, and needs casting very regularly, but it's pretty efficient against them Monkeys in Elona I've found with my limited testing so far :)

yeah this build works great in areas where you arnt facing many attacks at once, large groups will hit yout too many times to counteract with the health regen. i just like this because i dont have to spam healing breeze every 10 seconds, it has a longer duration and a shorter cast.

Like the look of this. Nice use of the Dervish skills. Only question is if it's an efficent way to make some money.

nt intending a flame or anything, dont take this the wrong way but....
the only difference i see here is mystic regen, the only reason 55 doesnt work is because of AoE update so its SoJ you need to replace, not HB sorry

thats why i didnt post this as a guide, i dont take offense to that. i know this isnt really a big huge difference, i just wanted to point out that you can do less work while farming certain things if you use this build vs a normal 55 build. i just thought i would share what i found with the communtity.

over all, the ai running doesnt add an extremely large ammount of time to my farming runs. with signet of mystic wrath i can inflict 130 armor ignoring damage every 20 seconds so i can easily kill of some to dwindle the number closer to 3. with over 40% longer duration of my enchants (totem axe + blessed aura) soj isnt down long. plus with hydras, they dont get knocked down so they will attack me more times than trolls or wardens will. they die faster so the others come back faster.
