RE: LightBringer farming

Some people just go and clear entire areas in the torment realm (although tough fighting, a full clear can rack up over 500 pts... although it takes awhile.).

Just exit Dz into Mirror of Lyss and take the Elemental Blessing and fight south.

I do an area that is full of Margonites in and around a castle, it is a really good area even though atm I cannot remember what it is called. I think it is off the area in the bottom right corner or the torment map.

In the torment realm, go to the Gate of Secrets and go into the Domain of Secrets and pick up the Margonite bounty right outside and then hang a left to go into the building, there are a ton of Margonites and you will also pick up a bounty for monoliths that spawn there. I raised my lightbringer titles there real fast by repeating that.

I'm AFK farming LB points... it's hard to get them going, but ultimately the fastest/easiest way, planning on making crimson write a guide on it soon ;-)

hah.......I personally have no trouble positioning them now. Hardest part is(sometimes) taking out the mob to get it down to a single spear.

after some talkin in GC about whether this is an exploit or not, i have emailed anet asking where they stand on the issue(hopefully I get a good response and not just some crappy response that I have seen before).

Anyway, depending on the response I get, I might think about writing a guide. Dont want to make a guide then find out they are gonna nerf it soon, also dont wanna write a guide on how to exploit the game, if thats the way they see it. :P

If I do somehow endup writing a guide, I'll do my best to describe the positioning(as well as screenshots provided). Thats the hardest part getting right, once you get them positioned, you can...well...just idle. :P

Update in whenever I dont feel lazy.

I'm going to hijack this thread to test this out

i also e-mailed A-net on this topic, concerned that being AFK while attaining rewards is not an honorable way of playing the game at all.

I'm sure anyone with Factions has been in a position where an AFK faction farmer has really disrupted your team / group and you felt ripped that some inconsiderate player was benefitting from something they never earned by being AFK.

I know that this lightbringer farming has nothing to do with other human players, but neither did a lot of other things that have recently been 'nerfed'.

I for one think that a game is meant to be played in person, not played from the next room.

RE: LightBringer farming

I just go outside the gate of nightfallen lands until i get a spawn with a group on either side of the entrance that has a spear of torment in it. Then i kill the two groups except for the spears and flag hench to one spear and heros to the other.

My set up is as follows
hench group:
Aiden, Devona, Mhenlo, and Gehraz

Hero group:
Tahlkora - Mo/N with well of blood, dawanya's kiss, words of comfort, healing touch, healing hands, sig of devotion, healing seed, well of blood, rez. 12 in heal 9 in divine favor and blood magic(the skill set doen't matter too much as long as she has healing power and well of blood just makes healing easier for this i think)
Koss - sever artery, watch yourself, for great justice, riposte, rez 12 in swordsmanship and tactics rest in strength
General Morgahn - P/W watch yourself, spear of lightning, blazing spear, stand your ground, never surrender, rez

I've been using this set up and it works pretty effectively and with little difficulties. I rarely have the spears over populate. And while they are busy killing things i get busy getting drunk. Two titles at once which is nice although i've run out of alchol anyway just thought i'd share my build and i don't know how many points per hour but i figure killing two spears is better than killing just one at a time. Even though I've noticed on guru they have some really crazy builds but this one works quite well and there is not a ton of effort wasted. Also going a monk secondary and taking bonds works out nice for extra energy or helping heal for the hench/hero monks

Ign's:
Karis Shadowmancer - Necromancer
Veronica Duskshadow - Ranger
Sophia Lansing - Monk
Reaver of Serenity - Warrior
Kalissa Shadowblade - Assassin
V Shadowmancer - Pvp Slot
