| 2nd Annual ArenaNet Appreciation Day! |

Last year, Foreverlad started a thread called "Anet Appreciation Day. And it was a hit. ^^
A year has passed, and it is that time again for the 2nd Annual "ArenaNet Appreciation Day!". Anet keeps getting alot of heat from the GW communities. Some good, alot bad. This day was done mainly to show our appreciation to ArenaNet, for a great game they developed, and continue to give us without any monthly cost.
So like last year, this even will take place on the 6th of January. Last year it took place in Lion's Arch Int 1. With two more campaigns added to the mix, we have alot more locations to pick. So, since all of the community is spread across 3 campaigns, lets take this Event to the Temple of Balthazar, International 1. ^^
And I say we kick the event off at 3pm EST (Noon PST, 8p GMT). ^^
So, what does everyone think about the joyous occasion. :)

I'll try my best to show up... It was lots of fun last year, so hopefully we can have a repeat of that event. If I recall correctly, Gaile Gray even showed up and chatted with us a bit last year, so hopefully we can get her this year.

Since the first A-Day, there were two expansions released; both of which can played as a standalone game. There are a lot of players (prolly a lot of gameamp members too) who, even though they play GW, has no acces to Lion's Arch.
There's two possible solutions: either do it in a core area, which should obviously be the Temple of Balthazar on the Battle Isles; or there could be three places: Lion's Arch, Shing Jea Monastery and Kamadan - since, based on the events, these seem to be each continent's focus areas.
I hope I can be there, since it's a Sunday. :)

Just kidding. :P
But, since last time LA int 1 was really crowded (the event expanded to int D2 too as I remember), I suggest the other option with 3 places - though it's a bit harder to organize.
Or maybe... hmm... are there timezones in GW? (I'm thinking about 3 set times, one in each land, so noone would miss out the event actually...)

Yeah, but as I said, last year one district wasn't enough. Now just remember how many people joined the community since then - the three separate places are reasonable. Espcecially if there's a timezone shift - like, starts in LA first, hits Kamadan 3 hours later, and gets to Shing Jea another 3 horus after Kamadan. Doesn't mean the party must stop when it moves to an other area, but the "Happy A-net" countdown should shift, liek the new year's couuntdown shifts from timezone to timezone...
...just an idea. :)

Kinda.
Though like... we go LA from 8PM, have a party peak at ~10 or 10:30, with extreme "TY Anet" spamming and disco globes and such. And while the party continues, some of us moves to Kamadan to heat the party up there, with a similar peak at ~1PM. And then some of us also moves to the monastery and put that party on fire too.
Of course the parties can start earlier and they can stay for longer. Like new year's eve parties.
