| My Latest Interactive Signature |
|
|
|
Hello,
I have finally gotten around to making my newest signature, work (at least on my computer).
Could everyone please let me know if:
A. It shows up at all.
B. If A, does it show Rancor Chiron?
C. If B, can you click the icons on the left and does it change the image? (This make take a second or two depending on your connection.)
If it doesn't work please let me know what is wrong and your version of Flash (if known) as I would like to fix it, in hopes that I can make it for others to use with their own images.

It flashes up for me then disappears.
I tried right-click "Play" and then I get the grey box with "?" buttons on the left. Clicking on them doesn't seem to do anything.
Gl trying to get it to work! o.O

I just tried it in Firefox and it did not work. Something different happened from what you said but I was using Firefox 1.5.
I am going to download 2.0 and see if I get your results. I gotta remember to test with Firefox more often!
Edit: FF 2.0 doesn't give me question marks but it is blank and not working. Guess now I get to research why Flash doesn't load XML in Firefox.

Thanks for the link but unfortunately it wasn't the problem.
I fixed the Firefox problem and it should now be doing something. So if people could confirm that it works on Firefox and Mac browsers I would appreciate it.

Working for me as well now. Looks great. The loading is a bit long though for a signature.

Latest Flash and Opera 9.02, and it works fine.
Though it has about 80 pixels between the line and the actual sig. I notice this happen when people were doing the Nightfall countdown sigs.
Seems to be a problem with they code they were using and the way opera uses it......I modified the code for it myself and it worked the same way, but without the extra space at the top.

Looks great, I like that it starts on one of your characters now instead of on the gray background. And mwpeck, I'm on firefox 1.5 and I'm seeing the 80 pixel gap too, and I got it on the nightfall countdown sigs too, so it's probably not opera.

If by 80 pixel gap you mean the sig has some empty lines above it, the answer is easy: don't use linebreaks between the tags.
So, instead of:
< table >
< tr >
write
< table >< tr >
The source will be quite messy, but this will remove the empty lines. (If you check the page source, there's a BR tag before each PARAM tag - and since it won't show inside the object, teh site somehow puts them before the object. It's the same with tables.
Let me show:
Table with linebreaks:
Top Left |
Top Right |
Bottom Left |
Bottom Right |
Same table without linebreaks between the tags:
| Top Left | Top Right | | Bottom Left | Bottom Right |
See the difference? (I started both tables right in the next line, without leaving empty lines...)

Ta ^_^ I just wanted to fiddle a bit with CSS since it's allowed. And I kinda like how Cassie is shown in the middle. :D (If anyone ponders, that pic is my screenie when we killed Urrgoz after 8 hours, touched with a bit of GIMP :D)

Got rid of the 80px above the sig. Forgot to do it when I change the code around late last night.
