| Fow Armor, Does it need improving? |
|
|
|
Well the topic says it for itself. Do you think that FoW armor needs to be improved? I mean in my opinion, Kurz 15k looks way better than the warrior FoW. Ranger FoW is just terrible looking no offense and also.....what about elementalist armor. that was topped off from the beggining with 15k pyromancers in my opinion... Do you think that the new games are coming out with Better looking armor?? do you think the FoW needs to be changed or another type of "FoW" armor to come around maybe like UW armor??? Or do you think it should just all stay the same due to it still shows a status symbol?
I obviously think it needs to be changed IMO

I can agree with your opinion of Warrior Fissure armor, and the Ranger's also, but I rather like Elementalist Fissure armor. 15k Pyromancer doesn't really look that much different than Droknar's Pyromancer (that's just my opinion, don't flame me for it). Necromancer Fissure armor is good for females, but horrible on males. Monks got the good stuff. Dervish Fissure is a waste of money. Paragon is godly. Assassin and Ritualist Fissure are horrifying. Mesmer is outstanding.
There was once a rumor that there was 15k Underworld armor, crafted by Gwen for Rubies, Sapphires, and Red Iris Flowers. However, as many people have completely cleared the Underworld, it is clear that the armor is non-existant.
I wouldn't mind them creating 15k Underworld armor, but I say let Fissure armor, no matter how ugly or beautiful, stay as it is.

I think most FOW armor sets are rather.. ugly.
The only decent looking set would probably be the elementalist.. for male and female. the warrior set makes you look.. erm.. strange. The ranger set could be better, it looks a little plain compaired to the other sets. Paragon and Dervish are a waste. Necromancer looks fine on female, but just a little strange on a male. Female ritualist is fine, but i dont like it too much.
i cant seem to remember what the monk or assassin set looks like.
i dont think it needs to be changed, however.
The sets look unique, which is what i think they were aiming for. So it should remain as the symbol it is imo.

There are a few sets I think could look better, but for the most part, the Fissure armor deserves the Obsidian name. :) Sure they could look a bit more "morbid", but they look fine to me. :)

I think that alot of Obsidian Armors are a complete waste of money (Assasin, Ritualist, Paragon, Warrior, Ranger) and there are some of them which are worth acquiring but are topped by other 15k sets (Dervish, male monk) and the remaining sets are absolutly great and has yet to be topped! (Female monk, Necromancer, Elementalist)
Though I would really like a 'new' Obsidian Armor (UW armor as already proposed), I also want the Obsidian sets to remain as they are. (Maybe we'll see something like it in the Domain of Anguish? ^^)

Perhaps so, this has been said about the opening of it.

As for FOW armor in my view most are not worth the time, effort and funds. The War armor looks like a dog took a poo on the guy, Necro armor looks to much like he went sunbathing in a rock quary, and Ele, Ranger, Mesmer, Sin and Paragon dont look unique enough. With that said I still like FOW armor. The Monk armor is the best, probibly why I used my stock on getting it, and I am a little over half way to Dervish FOW which I also think is nice. But in the end armor is just a personnal choice.

I'd have to disagree about the Monk armour, it looks like a jester/clown outfit to me :P
I have a flannel to wash my face
if it gets mucky i feel disgraced.

yeah i have warrior fissure armour but not really to keen on it now, i wear my 15k glads most of the time, i think paragon fissure armour looks great! but thats the only 1,
but to be honest even if u dont like fissure armour sets, they still have an apeal, nothin better than standing in a town and getttin bolwed at by random strangers lol
the biggest thing about fow armour is its just a way to show u have worked hard for something :)

FoW armor is a status symbol, and some of the sets are only that. People don't necessarily get it because it looks good, they get it because they can. This is pretty obvious because warrior FoW armor is the ugliest, and yet the most common. However, I do like a lot of the FoW sets. I completely disagree with most of and say that Ranger, both male and female, have the coolest FoW armor of any other class. It might be simple, but it still looks awesome. After that, I like female monk, I have to agree with One Swordsman and say that male monk looks silly. Those are my two favorite sets, but I like a lot of the others too. Mainly warrior is the only one I really find ugly.

In my opinion the best sets are the Female Mesmer, the Ranger armors, and the Monk sets. The others are alright but they could be redone to look better.
Cheers,

Yeah I think instead of changing the FoW armor. That they should add another set. Maybe the domain area will have it!? but i doubt it considering it will only be open for the weekend i assume...maybe not just the UW but maybe "the deep" or "urgoz" would have a FoW type set for each kurzick and luxon. But that might be overkill haha. Im a collector, and i like to collect armor as my GW hobby..lol
but yeah
maybe more challangeing areas would need it..maybe the relam of torment

I think fow needs to stay the way it is, it has a unique look so you can tell that it's fissure where other 15k sets look similar to others etc. But I'm not sure if you all dont know this but fow armor was created to balance the economy...
