Trenchcoats = cool
Greek alphabet = suck (Why would anyone other than a frat boy care about this?)
Kilt = ~ok... Belly shirt = yuck (terrible design). It's not a belly shirt, it's a bikini with short sleeves.
Pre-order sprints/permenant temp power = AWESOME!
Wings = AWESOME
Samurai Armor = Cool if you'll use it... It's not something that could be combined with other costume pieces like the trenchcoat
Shoulder cape = meh. The respec is kind of pointless since you get that with every issue anyway.
Emergency Base transporter = Very, very cool. What an awesome augment to travel powers. I'm guessing you'll be able to use it again at the end of any mission (since many missions take a while).
Anime tech armor - boring... You can already make people that look like anime mech so what's the point.
Signature chest emblem - essense of suck. Base items - pointless if you aren't a huge supergroup person
Permenant Nemesis staff or wand - Very cool, but I like the rune of warding better than the wand.
Free pet - AWESOME. Too bad I'll never see it :(
What they should have done is give people a choice of reward at each level. For example, after 20 months, a choice of permenant temporary power (I'd like sands of mu for my scrapper and that invulnerability ring for my defender).

I would like a permanent Warwolf Whistle. One of the best...powers...ever!
I can see your point on some of that stuff. Most people, including me, seem to really like the trenchcoats and wings. I haven't heard too many people excited about greek letters. Somebody must have been asking for it or I don't know why the Devs would have included it. Respecs are always welcome. Free costume tokens have been handed out free so much they should probably just get rid of the tailor fee altogether. I can't remember the last time I actually paid for a costume change. As far as the other stuff life special costume pieces and base stuff, that is not going to have as wide of an appeal. The special costume pieces open up some great new theme or RP possibilities. The base stuff is cool but, like you said, somebody needs to be into the whole base thing to enjoy that.
All-in-all, I'd say I'm pleased with the Vet Rewards. I have my 24-month goodies coming in December and I look forward to seeing them.

The Greek letters may not be the greatest, but I'm glad to have them. They open the doors for a whole new class of joke toon names!
Just take a wild stab at this one:
What chest symbol does Sandsof wear?
the trenchcoats were dissapointing. Now I know why it was so hard to create and why it is a back option. I was expecting something more like the robes.

MU! Haha. My old roomate (in a frat) went nuts over this feature. Its a nice addition, but nothing special.
Trenchcoats are cool, they provide a nice alternate to the spandex costumes, ya know?

Meh. I never really cared for the trenchcoat look. It reminds me too much of my LEAST favorite X-Man. (Gumbo)

GLBT themed supergroups might use the lambda symbol. Although it also opens up some nice supergroup symbols.

The Kilts look really good if you make them a solid color. I don't like the pattern on them. I haven't looked at the belly shirts. They just seemed like another "with skin" option.

Agreed. Some of the sprints are really neat. Although I do feel bad for the people who actually GOT them via the pre-order.
Works great with Kheldians.

Untrue. Although most of the recent issues have given respecs, they don't ALWAYS give them. Also, the great thing about this is, if you create a NEW toon after the issue is released, that toon has the respecs waiting for them. Kinda like a "get out of jail free" card.

Neat, but I think I'll use this about as often as I use the Pocket D teleporter...

As I understand it, the pet is strictly "cool looking". It's not something that can attack or anything like that.
Thats my take on the new stuff.

I love the wings during flight, but they are too distracting during combat for me. After about an hour with them on, I had to go back to icon to get rid of them.

Overall I'm pleased will all of the additions. With 40+ alts there is something to make all of them a little happier.
The wings are a total inspiration to me. My main charater should have had them from day one, but alas.......
I haven't seen the choice for the Wand or Staff choice. Waht month was that rewarded for? I'll have to go back over my badges to see if I just haven't claimed it yet.

While it is true that gumbo is creole food, not cajun, that doesn't seem to matter to Wolverine. He's called Gambit "gumbo" many times.

Strange mojo, the Verteran Rewards appear to be reflective; they consisantly show the attitude of the person describing them. Not surprisingly I see any addition to the game that does not take away something as a positive thing. Mine do have a little tarnish on them, that must be the sarcasm...

I would like to see the Holy Shot Gun Shells be refillable.
I never used them in whatever mission i had too. I used them in PvP though. OMG...like when someone was fighting me, got them down to little health, then they took off...BAM! Sucka.. Plus the knockdown usually let me catch up and collect my bounty. For a DM scrapper this was nice to have a ranged weapon. EMP glove is nice, if heroes control the zone, but shotgun was way awesome!!!! I really miss it..
And sry Jorden. I love my belly shrit!! Goes nicely w/ my new fat pigtails.

I think the greek letters were super sucky too, they could of come up woth something a little more interesting than a (kinda) dead langauge.
Wings are cool, but I thought I saw lots of different wings in the trailer. I really want insect wings!
I can't wait for the shoulder cape, it will make my Rocky look more celtic.
A Warwolf Whistle would be GREAT instead of a undead bane axe or dark punches! I love those things, and it helps me out when I accidently get in over my head. I would really love a long range choice of attacks for my tank though. The rune of warding really helped!
Anime armour...hmmm...I think theres a little too much japanese influence in the game already. Instead of more eastern costume designs id like to see hoodies, long robes, unbuttoned pirate shirts, sports shirts andstuf like that.
Pets are unobtainable for me at the moment, but im a bit sad they didnt include a Rubble or Shard pet.

im sorry but greek symbols was a major cop-out... it was like they couldnt think of anything else to put on and just copied a few things over from charmap.
One thing they keep holding back on is robes, i know it would be a clipping nightmare but it is the one thing which i have always wanted for my toons (second thing was proper trenchcoats, not the s&m things they chose to add)
other than that my fave thing so far is the samurai armor, its ver situational, but very cool looking!
