I was thinking the Gameamp should go xFire.xFire is a Online Chatting system, made pacificly for Online Gamers.
Gameamp can talk while playing games;we can set up our Screenames kinda like these:
(Ex.)Gameamp-Variety
GA-Variety
I'd like to hear your opinion on it!
Thanks!

I don't think xfire is very user-friendly. I tried it awhile ago, and couldn't figure out how to actually chat with someone. Typing was easy, which I think is what xfire was originally, but chatting seemed complicated.

I've never tried setting up an Xfire server, I use it instead of MSN sometimes but thats about it. Perhaps you could tell us some details such as cost, ease of use, limits, etc?
I find the sound quality to be very poor on TS and Vent gives me some serious lag issues at peak times, what's Xfire like with these??

Xfire is completely free. There is no server to set up, it all runs off the same one you log onto. What he's suggesting is that when people come on, creating a chat room or so and inviting multiple people into it. While great and all when not gaming, a big chat room while in game will annoy the *kittens* out of someone with all the xfire sounds that go off and all the spammed text in the lower corner. It would be hard to game at the same time as in a chat. Xfire is good though to chat while in game to 1 or 2 people max. TS/Vent is better for multiple. What it could help is anyone who doesn't have a mic on TS/Vent to talk to everyone at once.

I use XFire, but not for the chat, I use Vent for that... It's good to see what your friends are playing... and it logs how much you've played. With some games, like CS:S, you can join hem through XFire. It's pretty good.

I was the same when trying Vent XP man that was hard 2 use. Tho i must say i still can't get x-fire to say what game i am playing so i doubt i'd fare well with the chat system :P

Well, I don't know about the pop-up things in the corner, but all the other sounds can be turned off. I did it as soon as someone messaged me the first time, because I found it incredibly annoying.
At Soqed, it's necessary. And would you mind PMing me the code for how to make the marquee of your characters names stop when you mouse over them?
