Alright, my Elec/Stone Brute (the love of my life) is lvl 38 (Granite Armor FTW!) so I decided it was time to start thinking about which Patron I want. I am having some trouble deciding so thought I could turn here to get some of my questions answered. Any help is greatly appreciated and will be rewarded with +Cred and my undying servitude ;).
Captain Mako: I dont know why but I've always loved this guy, right now he's probably #1 on my list. What I need to know is how good the Coral Guardian (lvl 47 Summon) is. I dont have any idea if it sucks, if it's good, and what kind of powers it has. I dont wanna choose Mako and then find out his summon sucks. As a sidenote, Black Widow and Black Scorpion's summons are both PvE bosses (in Arachnos missions) does this match up to that?
Black Widow: What is really attractive about her powers is the lvl 47 Summon (Fortunata Mistress, or so I've heard). The Fortunata Mistress is a killer boss in Arachnos missions, so what I need to know is if she is really good, or if they nerfed her for the summon. Psi resistance is really low, so as long as she's not nerfed I may choose her.
Black Scorpion: The brute of the bunch. I'm not too thrilled about the fact that all the attacks are centered around a mace (kinda dull), but he can summon an Arachnobot Disruptor which is also a boss in Arachnos missions. Same with the first two, what kinda powers does he have? Is it a good pet to use? What makes it better than the others?
Scirocco: Dont know if I spelled his name right, never could get it hehe. What I love about this guy is his powers before the summon. As an Electricity Melee brute I thought it would be really cool to get a couple extra Lightning/Electricity attacks from his Mu powers. Also the end drain from his powers will work nicely with mine. What is holding me back is that his summon is a Mu Striker. Mu Strikers are only Minions in PvE missions, so are they completely nerfed when compared to the Fortunata Mistress and Arachnobot Disruptor? I love the Mu mobs, if it was a Mu Guardian there would be no competition whatsoever.
Thanks in advance for your help!
~Dark
Note: With regards to the Black Widow summon power, I just checked on here and it says that Brutes summon a Blood Widow. Is that correct? Because I've seen people in-game with her as a Patron and they had a power that said "Summon Mistress."

I'd be happy to help. First off your information is a bit off. You're right that Leviathan Mastery lets you summon a Boss level minion, but all the other sets do not have boss level minions. But, that is only applicable to brutes, remember each of the 4 sets are AT dependant. If you're mainly looking at the summon then go for Leviathan Mastery. But, the standard powers there can be somewhat lacking in terms of effectiveness. If you want something for PvP consider Mace (for the range and -fly, -jump components) or Mu Mastery (for the nice sap effects). Mu Mastery is also a great choice for PvE as well especialy considering how well it complements your current build. Although I love it, Soul Mastery really isn't going to do much for you. The end cost is just too high for a stoner like yourself even with the saps you have in your elec set. In the end it's up to you what you want, but personally I would go for Mu Mastery simply because it's an all around good choice.

Thank you very much for the great reply Mzzkc, it answered a lot of my questions. I am primarily looking at the Summon power which, as you stated, would probably be best for Leviathan Mastery. You said though that the standard powers in Leviathan Mastery were somewhat lacking, how so? The first power is a basic single-target attac, second is AoE immob, and third is just a cone damage. It seems as though this would match up fairly well to the other three sets with regards to damage output and effectiveness. If I'm missing somethin here, please let me know =).
Great guide Villainess, I read through it and it definately reinforced my decision of going with Leviathan Mastery. Mu would definately compliment my build well, but I'm focusing mainly on the summon and based on the guide I found that the Coral Guardian is a great pet for a support-Tank.

Hi. I hope I'm not hijacking the post, but I have a similar question. My own brute is an almost 35 stone/elec (the opposite of the OPs), and I was wondering what would be the best choice between Leviathan and Mu mastery? And would it be practical to use an epic pool without taking the final summons power?
(thinking of going Aid Other/Aid Self at the end)
The reason those two stand out is they fit best RP wise, and I find mace a bit bland personally.
Mako appeals because it seems to have overall higher damage, and the choice of damage mix is nice (lethal/dark/toxic).
Mu is energy, which I also don't really have an attack form of, though its not the variety that Leviathan has.
Villainess Vines' guide has a lovely summary of the data, but I know sometimes personal and practical experience will tell you things about the powers the data by itself doesn't, I guess that's what I'm looking for.
Any advice is appreciated!
