Unless you have proof to back up this statement, you should remove it. Until proven it is just slander.

Just like to point out that without proof you can't post peoples names.
It's a shame you got scammed though :-/

Thats nothing. A while ago i was selling my mini-pet Kirin, and at that time it was 40K, so i say, W T S Minipet Kirin 40k PM me. so someone does, i go to trade them, put the kirin in the box, press submit offer, he then puts 40 in the money box and i press accept. I then look in my inventory and he had trader me 40GOLD instead of 40K. I was really mad.. THEN i got error 7 so i couldnt take screenie, then i didnt play GW for 2 weeks after that because it was so unlucky. BTW this was before the update were the money says 40,000 gold.
So i learnt that you should always check what your trading and reciving. And why did u pay 2k befor he/she ran you?

well and another thing, you never pay upfront, if someone says you pay before the run, its normally a scam...i like to pay halfway, to almost there...like the droks run, i know if they actually get to snakes, there not gonna ditch you after you pay because a lot of ppl tip once at droks, and plus, there already that far they may as well finish..ive been scammed once with that run, first 3 months out of my 15 months playing, and yes it made me quiet mad, but you live you learn, anet doesnt crack down as hard as they say they do, i reported scammers with proof pics and chat all to confirm the two in question scammed me, and ive kept there names in my friends list, and they are still active, they never went unactive for more than a week, so best let it go and try again

You should always take screens when aranging and paying for a run that way at least you have proof if you get scammed.
Thats good advice right there. I don't care who you are.
thanks :D

anet cannot just ban anyone who is reported as a scammer. people who are good with photosop have photoshopped in whole conversations into a guild wars screen shot. so in turn, anet cannot just automatically ban a person. additionally, when you get scammed it is normally your fault not theirs because you wernt observent enough to spot the scam and not fall for it therefore, anet puts things like Bots and exploits above scammers.

but if you report the time and place it happened, A-Net can check their logs of what happened then.

Here's the way I see it (regarding running scammers)
The developers have implemented a trade interface into the game, for trading items/money safely.
However there is no interface for organizing running, in-fact nothing in the game supports running - or even acknowledges it.
My point? If you want to arrange services without the protection of Anet - feel free to, but don't expect them to help you when it all cocks up.
And my opinions on the 40g instead of 40k scam - I don't know about you, but 40k is alot of money to me, and my eyes would be wide open when making that trade, I always double-check everything (yes I have never been scammed, people have tryed, but failed - stay alert).

wait so you mean A-Net can do something about you getting scammed? i remember the first day i got the game i knew all the controls because the are incredibly similar to CoV which i just stopped playing. So i got into old Ascalon and i wanted to get out of that pansy looking n00b armor. so i found that you needed iron ingots to buy it and i had no idea how to find it. Well i found someone with someone who would sell them to me and he, obviously realizing i was a newb sold me iron ingots for 50g a piece. later i realized that he had bought 10 of them for 120g from the trader meaning he was making a lot of money off of me about 380g in profit for every 10 ingots

I wouldn't consider that a scam, just a person being quite mean - it happened to all of us unfortunately, but we learn from those mistakes :)

my scam wasnt for just some 2k - 10k...more like in the 6 digit form and mats.
and i had time stamps on things and about 15 screenshots of it all and time and location and names--i had everything and more than needed for a report of a scamming..yes i was very NOOOOB in what i did, but i still wasnt noob enough to keep track, and anet did nothing about it.. mad me very upset, cause i wasnt the only one, there were 3 other who were scammed this way, we all turned in the same amount of info, the scammers were free..so i distrust anets handling of certain things

I still don't understand, it takes 2 to tango, you have to hit accept trade before any goods/money transfer happens.
You have to pay attention, IMO any trade made through the trade system is valid and no action should be taken upon them by Anet, unless the servers are bugged/hacked etc - because both players must consent to the trade.

well theres more behind it, which i rather not get into, but lets just say the situation should have been handled at least a tad bit by anet
**last post about this, i already said it was a noob thing for me to do, and that anet doesnt seem to act as how it says**

Iv'e gotten scammed uh 2 time. All you have to do is look at the trade screen now. Usually common sense can get you out of trouble. Paying before the run and basically paying nothing? Well you should have known you were getting scammed. Scamming is going down beacuse peopel are wising up and anet is helping us quite a bit. It is actually a good thing you got scammed so you know that you will never do it again.

There's a problem with running and scamming...it can work both ways. The runner can scam the guys by asking for the money upfront, and then getting off, but the guys getting a run can also scam by getting the run and then leaving.
I don't understand how someone can agree to pay money, and then not pay it, but that is just me.
I agree that if you push Accept in the trade window, you are consenting to whatever amount the other person offers, whether you noticed it or not. I don't think Anet should ban people for trading with people who are unobservant (and no, I don't scam people).
