1st off welcome to the site.

As for your question, we don't allow the discussion of private servers here on GameAmp. As they are against the EULA and are illegal.

RE: Q: Private Server

I think a good thing many of the MMORPG developers did to sort of reduce the justification for the existance for some private servers was to offer the various free trials. I will confess here that I played UO on a private server back in the day to get the feel for the game before signing up to play officially on the Lake Austin server I think it was. I can fully understand the whole cash crunch thing but maybe for the holidays a loved one shall meet your name with a game time card or something similar. BTW does DDO offer game cards or some sort of pre paid time option where someone else can give you a helping hand or gift of time?

Yes, there are time cards you can get for DDO. You can buy them pretty much where ever you buy the game.

I know this, i mainly wanted to chage some parts of the game that were not true to PnP rules.

RE: Q: Private Server

If you want a more PnP style Dungens and Dragons experience, playing online, I would suggest looking into Neverwinter Nights. It has a great online community, Some great servers also. Maybe note quite the scope of players a MMO has, but the tradeoff is it being more true to PnP D&D. Online play is also free, another bonus. You have the ability to create your own servers (and build the world from scratch)
