What are the weapons in troll caves and whatnot that are rarer than others? I got some interesting white weapons that i might want to mod up to sell. any opinions?

There are no specific weapons in the troll cave. Most of time they drop random worthless raven staffs. Sometimes they drop a silver dye... but the main reason is for mountain troll tusks, which can be given to a collector then sold to the merchant for 125g... Since they're high level, they sometimes drop golds, I got a perfect 10/10 furious long sword off one before... The troll bosses don't drop greens, unlike bosses in Factions and NF

Well, i know that but thanx anyway. I was wondering what would be rare, as in dwarven axes or something. now i know THOSE are rare but i was wondering what else people want

Dwarven Axes? you can only find those in quest reward chests in Sorrow's furnace or FoW or UW 15^50, +30, and 20/20 weapons are all the rage these days, but they suck IMO. They are mostly status symbols

dont waste your time. almost all tyrian skins are ancient, overfarmed, and unwanted. you have much more profitability in nightfall.

I'm a little bit confused by this post.
so let me try to add all the parts together and phrase it slightly different:
Dwarvin axes can only be found in HoH and SF kilroy chests (same goes for crystaline swords, however crystalines have been reported in the UW and FoW).
15%^50 weapons are all the rage these days, however people are starting to realise that sundering and +30hp mods aren't.

i know dwarven axes cant be found there. Im not stoopid. It was just an example of a rarer weapon. So am i just wasting my time in the troll caves? I'm trying to save up for fow armor, including the cost to buy ectos and shards from merchant(i'm patient).

Basically the only decent wep dropped by the Trolls are Fellblades.

I don't ever recall seeing anyone report any rare drops of great value or any unique skins that are dropped by Mountain Trolls. Perhaps you may be better off farming in Sorrows Furnace? theres a great guide about doing it with hench and heroes here.

Same here, best drop I've had from trolls is a Gold Req8 Fellblade, which turned out to be junk. Trolls are good for...wood!

Thanx, I'll check that out. the only problem is that my char is factions, so i actually have no idea where sorrows furnace is! lol, and what do u think a max white fellblade would be worth if i but some good mods on it, like +30hp and 15%50?

White - probably nothing to be honest. If it is inscribable then there's nothing stopping you putting a good inherent on it and keeping it for personal use. You'll find it very difficult to sell a white weapon however.

Troll cave = quantity^quality
FoW/UW = quality^quantity (or it should do but I get crap!)
You can farm something easy like the Trolls and get loads of worthless stuff to sell or you can risk a K and farm in FoW and 'maybe' get a rare skinned weapon that's worth 100k+.
Imo the Troll Cave isn't worth the effort and hasn't been for months, I'm also starting to feel the same about FoW. If you really want to make cash learn to solo UW or find a good team of friends to 2, 3 or 4 man it with you. Hoping for a good chest and wasting cash on keys might pay off but then so might buying a lottery ticket!
Oh and another idea is to learn the Droks run...people were paying 10k the other day (Euro Eng Dist) and dog knows why?!?
