I just tried a run to yaks bend, and died 3 times before courthouse. this would not be such a big deal if I hadn't done this run about 1000 times before (literally, thats how I made most of my 500k, running around) why did I die to lvl 6 charr you may ask? THEY DONT EVER BREAK AGRO!
this petition is to have A-net bring back the old agro settings (including those for UW and Troll Caves) I want to be able to run without a charr from the beginning of the zone to follow me to the end of the zone. I dont want to have trolls run away because now cyclone axe is AoE and makes them run away. I dont want Smites in UW to run away because they have SS on them. I dont want the Trolls to run away when you have Shield of Judgement on me!

IM not doing this to just jerk you guys around, im starting this on guru too, and im going to go to ToA and get people to Do the Fist shake command, take that picture, and put it in with an E-Mail to A-Net along with links to the petitions

lol tried that, no dice. appenerntly when you want to kill them they run away, and when you dont want to they will follow you to the edges of the world

im more persitient and annoying than those people who signed the other petition. they took away our main source of income in the game. Do you guys want your FoW armor? do you want enough money that you can get most anything you want?
you will still have to work for this money, but i atleast want it to be possible to make money in the game. if you guys have a place to go that is as profitable as UW then share it and ill shut up, but if you see this as i see it, then help me out. work to actually change the game for the better

a-net dont care what we think, their so rich they do what they THINK gets them more money. so many people (like myself after 6 months) just get tired of the storyline and just quit. after 2 weeks of owning in halo for pc i tried it again. this was around when 55 monk came into existence. i created one and got back into guildwars tenfold because now i could make money. although at this point i dont care for it, money made it interesting and now theyve almost taken that away. im in.

I feel your pain as well as mine. Unfortunately Anerf is one hella tough skull to crack. They just like to see ppl suffer in games. :) For example their new elite mission DOA (Dead on Arrival) is unbalance right with monsters are too hard. Only extreme hardcore gamer will enjoy those mission and casual gamer like me will not have a chance.

Yep... i'm about an inch from quitting GW, not only cause of these "updates" or as you call them "nerfs," but because the game is just boring now. I cant make money and the economy isnt dropping at a fast enough rate for me to buy anything. I am not being a sore player and saying that i cant deal with the new updates, but some players have the advantage when they are still loaded with ectos and stuff while i'm sitting around with 1 plat. my 2 cents.

Domain of Anguish: Remember when people said Urgoz was too hard? That the Deep was impossible? Same thing here, people expect to waltz in and conquer everything. Just plan people!
Although I agree Anet has made it annoying to farm the way we're used to, I think we should first work on trying to adapt. Instead of rallying to a petition and making a fuss about it, how about we try to see if we can actually still farm?
Every single time Anet nerfed something, we were able to adapt once the commotion died down.
-AoE nerf? We learned to use snares/slowing hexes.
-Minion Master nerf? People got smarter about MM's and now they're better than before.
-Spirit Bond nerf? We came up with Shield of Absorption farming.
Every time Anet nerfs something, we get smarter/better. Do you really want to go from smarter gameplay to mind-numbing gameplay? I sure don't.
I post something like this every time Anet nerfs something and someone starts a campaign against it. Not that I'm getting sick of it, but I'm wondering when people will wake up and start adapting.
EDIT: Personally, if Anet had never nerfed anything, I would have quit this game long ago. It's the changes that make this game so exciting. What's the point of having money if everyone else can get it easily?

hehe I have pretty much quit playing gw because of these anti-farming and anti-running bugs ... theres nothing left for me to do in the game, so .... oh well ... I guess im in, even though I doubt they'll do anything about it.

I personally think that this entire aggro update was a big mistake, and it doesn't have anything to do with not being able to farm or run. When I go into a region to fight something, and it gets low on health, it runs away. My hench follow it until they aggro another group. We start to die, so I run away. What hench I have follow me, and so do all the enemies, for a goodly long time. I try to get back to my dead hench and res, but the enemies aggro from the entire minimap rather than the aggro circle. It just doesn't make any sense, and it has gotten me extremely frustrated many times since the update. So I'm in. And it really makes me sad to see all you other people quitting on account of this. Is that seriously all you did was run and farm? What fun is that?

lol, sadly to say, when you play guildwars to spend your free time, just caus you have nothing else to do, and they remove the few things that keep you here ... well ... im sorry, but im freaking tired of having to run every single character I have through the same bloody story line every time just to get the full map for one. I mean, if I have beat it with 2 characters, I can beat it with the rest, whats the point of the endless grinding for sunspear points, or forcing you to do all the storyline just to get to the end ... Im sorry, but the way Prophecies was set up was and always will be the best way. If you were experienced, you could run your character to a place you wanted to farm with him, you could then farm, make money, accomplish other things with other characters, and eventually beat the game at your own pace. The only thing left for me to do is PvP, and it can be hard to find people to do that with when you have time to go online. Im not a person who is gona make my life revolve around GW to the point where I make appointments to go online and pvp. It requires too much co-ordination, and im sorry ... but I have other things to do in my life ... so that leaves me with running and farming at my own leisure time ... and now .. thats gone ... ohh well, and as you said your self, im tired of mobs being pussies and running away just to run back to you when they are healed. It's complete b.s. ... imo ... GW has sold out and they have become stuckup and believe they can do whatever they want without loosing too much of a player base ... time to show that im tired of their b.s. :) I guess its a prime opportunity to focus on other things in my life :P hahaha
either way, I hope you all have fun still. I'm done with this b.s. lol

What one person doesn't like there is 10 that do.
Anet will never be able to satisfy every single person all at once. And niether will any other on line game manufacturer.
I for one am glad they have done the things they did. People shouldn't be ran to places. Quit being lazy and earn your way there. A level 6 in Ascolon doesn't need 15k droknars armor. That is not how Anet intended the game to be played. So I say whatever Anet has to do (ie making harder to solo, run, or whatever) I am 100% for and support them.
There is aspects to this game I don't like. But you know what? THE GAME ISN"T ABOUT ME....IT'S ABOUT THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE!!!!
As the old saying goes, if you don't like it then find something else to do.
Before you get upset about what I have said here keep one thing in mind...read my SIG
This is directed towards the people who ARE NOT admins. You are just a user/poster here like everyone else, including me. So before you get on your high horse and tell people how to play the game, or what they should and should not post (ie screenshots, game guides, thread topics, etc) keep this in mind...NO ONE ASKED YOU, AND YOUR PERMISSION OR APPROVAL IS NOT NEEDED!!! So if you don't lik a topic, or a picture, or whatever, then move on to the next one.

not to sound angry, but do you think that monsters chasing you from piken all the way to the zone is right? thats just non-sensical
and BTW im not saying that money should be easy to make, i spent about a year making 500k
And at this point do you really think that running was unbalanced? they had already nerfed it enough, i cant run droks any more, but to make it to the point that im dying running to piken with a droks running build, thats just silly eh?

Im really sad to see all these people leaving, and I think that when a Nerf is making people leave, it has gone to far, wouldn't you agree? Mind you these people are respected members of the GW community, not people who are flaky about this game

Tor, just to clarify, I wasn't saying I thought it was sad that you would quit over this. I was saying it makes me sad that so many experienced members are leaving, most of them AMP guild members.

So, we are signing a Petition, because of things ANet fixed, because we did too much.
August 25th 2005 - 105 Monk farmers took a blow. Protective Bond was updated so you lose 1-3 Energy. It was caused cause we farmed too much. Players and Bots alike.
November 10th 2005 - The first AI Update. Players asked for it, Farmers hated it. Nukers could no longer Nuke stuff, for some odd reason. We all asked for the enemies to be smarter, yet we all whined when they actually moved out of AoE range. Once again, it was also brought on because once again, we farmed too much.
April 26th, 2006 - Minion Masters took a big hit. They can no longer control more than 10 Minions at a time. Not a needed update at the time, but with the Flesh Golem around the corner, it wasn't that big of a Hit. I wish people would have realized that before rage quiting.
October 25th 2006 - Another AI update and a much needed one with the Dervish coming out, the following 2 days. Farmers and runners took a big hit aswell. Spirit Bond was updated to last 10 hits instead of the full 10 seconds, if hits reached 10 first. AI update came with a bug, that made runners mad, but started a nice "Chase the Charr" game. ^^ Farming and running wouldn't have been hit, if we didn't do it too much, and by we I mean Bots and human players.
We all cause these updates, we cause them by doing them excessively. There are new farming builds out there, just cause you gotta actually think for a little bit, you start to get upset. Just play the game as it was ment to the played, think along the way, come up with new farming builds, and keep the secret. If the world doesn't know it wont be fixed.
Hmm.. I think that is it. ^^
