John Frusciante
Who here likes him, he is the Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist, Here is a few of his videos for you to watch :D
"Going Inside- John Frusciante"
"For Emily, Wherever I May Find Her- Simon and Garfunkel"
"The Past Recedes- John Frusciante"
"How Deep Is Your Love?- The Beegees"
I think that John is an amazing guitarist and a pretty good singer too, my parents don't, they hate his music :P, I was wondering what you thought of his music (There is also quite a story behind him aswell, im just too lazy to type it, most of it is on wikipedia though if you are interested in reading it..)

RE: John Frusciante
Here is a song that I found by him on Radioblogclub, Didn't realise it was posted on the internet anywhere.
well, just because mettalica is one of the best bands ever doesn't mean that RHCP can't be. that's what "one of" means.
for example: mettalica and RHCP are two of the best bands ever.

the greatest guitarist living and still in a band is Kirk Hammet.
the greatest guitarist ever was jimi hendrix
Sorry, i have to disagree, Eric Clapton is the best guitarist still in a band, Cream is touring.
P.s. I saw Red Hot Chili Peppers live in vancouver, damn man, that's one freaking crazy ass lighting, i personnally like Frusciante more than flea becuase Frusciante is guitar, and well i play that. Best Bassist tho in a band right now, LEs Claypool and flea would have to be up there.
This guy blows most people away and if you ever get the chance to see him live you must! I'm music fan (not a '*kitten* YOU ALL [insert band name here] IS THE BEST EVER!!!!!111!!!!1!' type fan) and a guitarist and I know that anyone can play power chords but few people can play like this!

ooh, didnt john play "for emily" there? im pretty sure he did, i know he did in toronto and i doubt they would change it much...
also there is a wierd solo song by flea i might put it, but it has bad language in it so.. yeah
Hmm talking about guitar players Steve Vai and Joe Satriani are both real good. There are way too many to say who is best.
Back to topic I love the RHCP. In fact I got my wife their new album for Christmas.
lol good thing she doesn't read the post on gameamp.
I'm neither here nor there but everywhere. I am who I am and nothing more but yet I'm nothing less than what I strive to be.

Stadium Arcadium? That's a good CD :P probably there best yet, that or By The Way... Flea said that if you dont like Stadium Arcadium, you dont like the RHCP because they haev songs on there from all there different type of music (things from The Zephyr Song to Give it Away) so its most probably their best album :D (I still havn't got Mother Milk, It's the only RHCP CD with John Frusciante in it that i don't have {I don't think it looks too good to be honest, John was only 17 i think when they made it, 17 or 19}).

No way metallica pretty much got crappy after Ride the lightning. And Mustaine was much better and basically once they stopped mooching off his work they wernt so great.
As far as the rhcp I guess they are alright the guitarist has some skill but I find there music boring.
My favorite guitarist currently would be dave murray from iron maiden
Best Bass player/musician of all time if you ask me is Phil Lynott from Thin Lizzy.
Oh I almost forgot another great guitar player Jeff Healy. I'd like to see a lot of people learn to play like him blind. He plays like he is playing a steel guitar. Sorry I know my music rang is real wide as I listen to just about everything. I love music in general. Oh and yep Stadium Arcadium was the one I got my wife. Of course I'll enjoy it too. (thats the best gifts to give)

RE: John Frusciante
i should mention... if you go --->HERE<--- it is john frusciante's official website, he has quite a lot of free songs to download (20-30) and most of them are really good, i advise you go there and download them :P (just rightclick and the link and save target as i think it was, i think thats how i got it.. the music is in the "demo's" section(you cant get there from the main frontpage.. you have to enter the site by pressing on one of the things like music.. then demo's is at the top
Not really bashing you, more T.I., but T.I. puts out some of the most generic "rap" music today, followed closely by 50 Cent and that new crap they say Tupac did before he died. How many times in one song can you say the same thing?
"What'cha know about that, what'cha know about that..."
Is it catchy? Maybe. But is it a flowing, smooth machine of music fusion? Nope. That's where the Red Hot Chili Peppers win out every time.
EDIT: Forgot the reason of my post to begin with...
Manly Monk, way to go in making this thread. People who don't have access to RHCP should (hopefully) really enjoy these videos.

RE: John Frusciante
no.. John Fruscainte is the guitarist.. he replaced Hilel Slovak when he ODed on heroin and died =( *R.I.P* and Flea is the Bassist, he has been there from the beggining.. if i remember rightly.. John was 17 or 19 when he joined the Peppers
EDIT: I checked wikipedia.. and it says that Hilel died on 1988.. so ill try look more and John was born 1970 so I think he would have been 19 when he joined.
