Winter Event badges on Test. A mini-guide for your badge hunting during the Winter Event.
Coldfront - For logging into your character during the run of the Event.
Crystalized (w/Furry Gloves costume piece) - Choice when completing the Baby New Year mission.
Frosty (w/ Furry Boots costume piece) - Choice when completing the Baby New Year mission.
Miraculous (w/Renewal of Light - 8 day self-rez temp power) - Choice when completing the Baby New Year mission.
Joyful (w/Golden Rings -12 day single target hold temp power) - Choice when completing the Baby New Year mission.
Bane of Dannan - Defeat 333 Tuatha Na Dannan in the Baby New Year mission.
Cap Buster - Defeat 333 Red Caps or RedCaps in the Baby New Year mission.
Toothbreaker - Defeat Snaptooth five times in the Baby New Year mission.
Red Cap Gladiator - Earn the Toothbreaker Badge.
Cold Warrior - Defeat 100 of the Winter Horde snow creatures. Either in the Baby New Year mission, or from Present Opening spawns in the Isles during Phase 2 of the Event.
Toy Collector - Open 200 Presents scattered throughout the Rogue Isles during Phase 2 of the Event.
Snowbeast Gladiator - Earn the Toy Collector Badge.
Frozen Fury - Defeat the Winter Lord Giant Monster which can be spawned when opening Presents in a team of 5 or more players.
Trucker - Exploration badge located on the floating truck in Pocket D's Chalet Zone.
Remember: the Baby New Year mission can be run repeatedly during the Event so you can farm those Red Caps and Tuatha.

nice list!
I've added the Trucker badge to the badge list...it's an exploration badge out in the ski chalet, though it'll be tough to get if you're a SS'er without hover, flight or a jump pack.
I've also posted Father Time's mission in the Missions (though I still need to fill out a few details).
There is a bit of a problem with farming the Red Caps though...in Father Time's missions they are "RedCaps" not "Red Caps", so they don't count for the badge. However, if you get them down in health, and they go into the ground to re-emerge as Hooligans (LT's), then they DO count...

Well, I got home from work finally (these 12 hour days are gonna kill me, but that's life in the shipping business). So, I checked and verified that my badge (Trucker) is indeed on the floating truck in the Chalet area.
Also, yes Caligari there is a Santa Claus. The RedCaps AND the Red Caps are counting for the Cap Buster badge. What is even better is that if you have any Valentine's Day Snaptooth missions left over (yes, I do); the RedCaps in that mission are counting for the badge also! I just finished verifying movement on the bar a few minutes ago. This is nice because the Valentine's mission spawns more RedCaps than the Winter Event mission. So, less farming to do to get the badge.
Booyah! Badge-Hoor FTW! This is almost as good as Legos.

Yes it is possible to get a santa hat. You can get one when someone gives you a gift. This has been "confirmed" over on the OBs.

i alrdy added the log in badge, and the 4 mission badges, cap buster is alrdy there from last year when i got the badge, and i guess when i get the tuatha badge and the frozen fury badge on live ill add them, if no one else does b4 then.

Tyvm Sapir, all my Badge-hunter toons thank u as well! and i would just like to ask, with the power that allows u to give a gift once...what are the sort of things u can recieve and does anyone know the probability of recieving a santa hat?

Well, according to the testers on the OB's; you can get special items through use of the Temporary Power Holiday Gift that you will be given when you first log on with each toon. When you use the Holiday Gift on someone they will receive a Mystery Gift. Also the Mystery Gift is obtainable through opening the gifts strewn throughout the Rogues Isles. If you get a Naughty Present when opening the gifts you will spawn some Winter Horde snow creatures, and in a team of 5 or more you can spawn the Winter Lord GM. If you get a Nice Present you can get the following:
1) Infamy (250 reported but may be raised for the Event.
2) Prestige (I got 250)
3) Temporary Power
If you get the Temporary Power you can get:
1) Snowball
2) Build Snow Beast (a one time use pet)
3) Mystery Gift
If you get the Mystery Gift and open it you can receive:
1) Snowball
2) Build Snow Beast
3) Jingle Jet Temporary Power
4) Santa Hat
5?) Infamy or Prestige
That's about all I could glean about the chances of getting the Santa Hat. Pretty Low chances, but possible. Good luck!

Well, you'll have to wait until December 21st for the GM to show it's ugly head, as that's when part 2 of the Winter Event kicks off with the presents floating around.
I have all but 2 of the badges from the Chalet. Still need the Red Cap badge (just not enough of them I guess, seeing they are only in the cave) and the exploration badge.
I thought I had the Red Cap badge, until I looked at this post closer and realized I just got the gladiator...oh well, back to the drawing board...and still no santa hat either :(

Mwahahahaha. I have them ALL (okay still gotta wait for Frozen Fury like every other villain). And Rogue Santa (check last Christmas screenshots) is fully outfitted to retake the Rogue Isles!
If you get a decent sized team you can farm Red Caps fairly fast, and dont forget to check the 3 other cave branches (not just Snappy's cave), and the top floor of the main cavern for Red Caps.
Too bad we cant get the Jet-Setter, and Holiday Spirit Badges this year. Oh well. At least my main Badgers have them from last year.

I got all the badges except the ones from phase 2 (Frozen Fury, and Toy Collector?).
I also got all the gifts except the Santa hat (A Jet pack, a snow beast, a snowball, and a crap load of prestige and infamy). I gave up trying for the Santa hat for the night on my main Adoniis, but my alt Sick Santa got it the first try. My GF just kept making alts and passing me the gifts until I was content.

I got all the badges from the event, except one, frozen fury, but no one can get that til the 18th when phase 2 of the event goes live, also i hit the 300 mark yesterday while getting the badges. :D

Ok, lets say that I've figured out the spawning rotation of four or five presents. Now, to get the toy collectors badge do you have to get different presents are can you keep going back and forth getting the same five presents?

doesn't matter...every time you open a present, that goes towards your count. Best way to do the presents is get into a team and let everyone have at it. Each one they open goes towards your total as well. So if a full 8 person team set out hunting, each person would only need to open 25 presents total to get the Toy Collector badge.
But, that's the smart way of doing it. Find a spawn site that has them pop up relatively close together and have at it.

Yeah the Deers and snows are easy to get i ran the baby mission 5 times with a full team of 8 and got al lthe badges.. course we cleared the mission lvl each time and all that... now to open presents...the first 6 i opened were naughty.. which i think is rather funny cause to be naughty in COv you would actually have to be nice and i dont remember being nice at all

I heard that your team members opening presents does NOT count for your total. Are you sure it counts? Because that would kick butt!

Yeah i was thinking the same i ran with a full team for about a hour and never got hte badge course they didnt find many presents but it took me forever to get them

Well, after doing something I definitely hate doing...I ventured to the OB and this debate is mentioned there as well. The majority thinks that the Toy Collector badge is not a team oriented achievement. Heck, our own Sapir is even there providing his 2 infamy worth to the topic.
I know for a fact that last year I got the badge while being on a team and having the totals go towards everyone (now, it was only a 2 man team, but nonetheless...). I'll do a little more checking on this and see what turns out. I hadn't planned on getting the Toy Collector badge on any toons as it just takes too long for me to do. I have it on my main toons that were around last year and I believe that is ok with me. However, I may have to spend some time next week while i'm on vacation, pondering this idea.

It's not so bad, BD. Took a little over an hour in PO in the middle of the night to get it for my Secondary Badger. YMMV though. If I get a chance, I'll test the team counts with my sons account, but it's getting busy right now in RL.
