RE: Apology

there are many topics that will 100% be a flame war but honestly. if people can not give their opinion with out flaming someone then they have no right to post or even speak.

Everyone has the right to voice what is on their mind but there is no reason to flame or be hateful to others.

RE: Apology

i guess the staff didn't take the oppurtunity to ban all the flamers. you stated your opinion, and someone didn't like it, so they got pissed and started flajming. i agree with Merdekaida. plus, the staff need to actually ban the flamers, not just watch the topic their in...

(you can ban me, but i have 2 computers ;-)

RE: Apology

Don't feel too bad, I started a thread that ended up into an actual Flame Fest back in October when the AI was first updated. And like was said above, if people can't say and respect other peoples opinions without flaming, then they shouldn't say anything at all. You did nothing wrong, and have no need to apologize. :)

RE: Apology

I agree with Kanna. You did nothing wrong. What you did do is open a subject for discussion that some people could not respond to without the (subtle & not so subtle) words/names/alluding/finger-pointing that was (at least to me) beginning to manifest itself.

Imagined or not, I took it upon myself to use my ability to close the thread down to let things cool down. It's what I do in real life: If the situation is so hot people cannot help but get really belligerant (not saying anyone was) I tend to end the discussion and walk away and re-visit is at another time.

Although it looked like it, the intent was *NOT* to let you voice your complaints. Not at all. Although my motive was in the right place, the execution was poor. I do not really mind complaints, I deal with them all the time at work. What I don't like is the (underlying) bickering that it can give birth to.

As this is a forum, discussions like that should be allowed to continue. provided it is done so in a way people can remain respectful of each other. I just ask that those who post in discussions such as those to be very mindful of the fact that sarcasm, tone of voice, etc. are not conveyed through the posts.

Well, this reply has gotten longer than I intended. Enough from me. You did nothing wrong.

Kudos to you for trying to apologize and trying to accept responsibility.

/cheer

RE: Apology

You were perfectly fine my friend. They should have paid more attention that is was for those that agreed with you to sign and those that didn't just move on to the next topic or start an opposite topic. I still feel that if you can't post something positive (meaning you can disagree but just stop the name calling like whinners and so on) don't bother hitting the reply button. And also pay attention to the title of the topic and if it doesn't pertain to you directly skip it and move to the next topic.

But most important its a game and meant to not be taken as reality so don't worry have fun and kick some baddies butt for the Gameamp community. Hehe seriously if you need any help just add me to your friends list and when you see me on I'm always willing to help. My IGNs are in my profile except my new one C D Cross.

I'm neither here nor there but everywhere. I am who I am and nothing more but yet I'm nothing less than what I strive to be.

It's a shame a few people can take things too far
