Ok now im an Elem. (nuker to be exact) and i am at the point that i declare my aligence, i dont care what side of the map or what ever i just whant to know if there are any real atvantages to one side like better (looking) armor?
And also i am most likely being very nieve but how can u explore the who factions map if u declare ur aleagence to once side?
And ill tell you i have NOT gotten farther in factions than i am now so i have NO IDEA the whole factions thing and (im repeating my self) ya............ plz help.

First off, one side isn't better than the other.
Say you go Luxon. As soon as you finish the quest that you have to earn 10k Luxon Faction, you get the reward like usual, then get the next quest. Well now that you've gotten the 10k Faction Quest done, you can go over to Kurzick side and start earning your 10k Faction over there for the 10k Kurzick Faction Quest. You can explore and do all the Missions this way.

Both sides are equal.
Regarding Armour, it's really a matter of personal taste. Some players prefer different armour so it could be cool to them, but to others might find it "ugly".

When you have successfully completed the 10k requirement quest for a Faction to "trust" you, can then join the opposite Faction.
PLEASE NOTE:
You will lose all Faction points from your current Faction when you are gaining trust on the opposite Faction so it's best to use your current Faction points before doing any opposing Faction quests.
(wow, I used "Faction" a lot in that sentence).

That's the basic outline of the PvE aspects of Guild Wars: Factions - you choose a side and stick with it.
Regarding other features, such as: the line on the map, town control, etc. you don't really have to worry about as it doesn't really have an impact on the story. Just choose your Faction and continue the story.
