ok my monk just capped a pheonix (Albinobirdie), and i need a good way to power level it
and also, dose it gain exp while its dead or dose it just sit there useless

if you don't care about evolution (eg Dire,hearty or elder)
then just leave it dead and it'll gain exp as long as it's within range...
If you do care about the evolution, check guildwiki for proper guides :)

just monk for a b/p group with it it leveld my pet up fast
i cant think of anything cool to say that would be alright with the forum

Lol, a monk bringing a pet on a bp farm, very bad idea. This is horrible because when the monks pet dies, healing is post poned for a short period of time, making the monk useless. If you were a bp though, bringing your pets on bp farms, to level ( even though you should anyway ) is ok. the only reason the bp is there is to use barrage and have a pet as a shield. Im training my flamingo like that! :D hes only lved up to 7 though :(

After you finish Factions, you have a chance to get a pheonix as a pet.

Your pet will gain experience and level up the same way a character levels up. There are 2 ways of evolving: Dire (pet does more damage but loses 60 health) and (forgot name...) the pet with +30 hp but with less damage.
here is a good guide about pets, and here is a guide about levelling your pet to Dire.
Hope this helped a bit.

You're pet still gains xp if its death so just dont res him.
And be sure to send him in as first so he'll die quick before heals are needed.

a good way to lvl your pet is you are a 55hp monk and you bring ferocious strike and a pet + some other pet skills. you put attributes in beastmastery (12) and some in prot and healing prayers for healing breeze and menidng. then you go to elona reach with your pet you tank the minos (not all at a time or they attack your pet) and you let your pet do the killing= the way to get it dire.
for elder you do this untill he is agressive then you make sure you always do more damage then him = the way to get it elder
if you always do more damage thenyour pet and you heal him alot it will become hearty.
i hope this helped a bit ^^

I miss my pheonix :( I worked with him alot till Level 18 then got the elder crab >__<
