Gather round boys and girls, because I have a story to tell.
I'm in 2nd year University now, I'll be 21 in February, but when I was in high school, I had a girlfriend for the last two and a half years of high school. We had both decided that we'd continue seeing each other. She was a year younger than I was, and she had one year of high school left, but we had agreed that'd I'd come back every weekend (only an hour away), and everything was cool.
Then two weeks before I moved away, she just said she didn't feel the same way that I did about her. Needless to say, I was devastated for months afterwards, and it took me a long time to get over it. But hey, it's my opinion (to the guys here) that you don't truly know women until you've fallen in love with one, and in my case, lost one. I'm a much wiser man today because of that.
But, here I am almost two years later, and I've enjoyed the perks of being single for that entire time. I haven't been in a relationship since then, but hey, I've been looking and there's been a couple "University Situations" along the way...but I haven't met anyone really.
And now that I've bored all of you to sleep, I'll be taking my leave. Let's hear some of your stories *rocks in rocking chair and smokes pipe*

I've been single since I was 19. I'm 21 now and still love being single. But I had a lot of relationships from 14-19 just need a break heh.

Meh
Had a g/f in freshman year of college. She left me in july 2003. I was depressed about it for a year. Hooked up with my last g/f. We joined up in C0H together. She was my co-pilot for mapserver. Then we broke off in late october. Been single since. I told myself I'm taking a least a 6 month vacation from worrying about that sort of stuff. So around marchish i might do something.

It'S good to hear that most people are happy being single, even (or especially) after tough break ups (aren't they all?). I know I don't like being single that much, even though I always had enough "acquaintances" to not go crazy.
I had my big breakup 2 months ago, but I still haven't given up hope, and I've gotten pretty close to someone special, even though it'll be some time before I can really commit myself fully.
