now i am not quite sure if a post like this has been made before but i noticed after i started doing AB i have developed a dislike for the luxons now i am not saying if you are a luxon you are a n00b or emo but i was just wondering if you were a kurzick if you started hateing luxons in AB or vice versa and would it be flameing if we all just put names we call eachother in good fun to kinda just make fun of us takeing the feud seriously

I'm Luxon and I think that both sides are just as bad as each other.
Someone starts a "Omg you kurzick emos" and someone else goes "Lol suxons" or some other stupid remark.
So yeah luxons and kurzicks are juts as bad as eachother.
(But if you ask me the game isn't Luxon vs. Kurzick anymore. Me being in the [GdA] alliance we've been spiked by [any] so many times it's not funny)

yeah, people sometimes take all the hatred between the two factions a bit too seriously. but if you compare it to other games the whole luxons versus kurzicks isn't such a big deal. just look at WoW, the horde versus alliance conflict is much bigger then the luxons versus kurzicks will ever be (probably because the factions are only represented in GW factions, and neither of the two sides are as charismatic as the horde or alliance.)

true but horde and allance have always had a feud from the first warcraft game which is where i chose my side of the horde but yeah i just made a comment about too many playing sf and touch rangers on their side i mean i prefer some diversity true i got my build from guildwiki but i changed it around some to fit more my need but i really dont like builds like that are just to wide spread and over used

It's kind of funny in a way, finally some role-playing in guildwars. It's just a shame it has to be taken down to such a purile level. It would be really nice to see proper RP terrirtory-based slanging matches! :P

lol funny scenario.. Last time i was in ab i didnt remember that kind of words. Most of the stuff i usually read were for one thing useless to read and innapropriate. I dunno if they wanted to create another atmosphere in Factions where both side can battle to be the best but if they did people were just making a joke out of it.

eh, yeah i hear arguements alot, but me, im both technicly, i quit a luxon guild, go to kurzicks, then they switch to luxon, then back to kurzick into a good allience, as it goes for the kurzicks/luxons side, im mostly luxon.

Nowadays, from what my guild has seen, a lot of the guilds are mostly Kurzick. A friend of mine tried recruiting in Kaineng for our Luxon guild, but he was overshadowed by the huge amount of Kurzick guilds.
I've also seen a lot of recruiting in NF with people saying their guild is either Kurzick or Luxon. How interesting... a ton of the people in NF probably have NO IDEA who the Kurzicks/Luxons are! Like it makes much of a difference being in a Kurzick/Luxon guild without having Factions.
Makes little sense to me.
But yeah, people take their faction too seriously (obviously) if they are going to such lengths as to "dis" the other faction like they are. I'd give an example, but the only example I can think of that I can recall isn't very appropriate.

I was abing the other day and instead of playing the game we were getting into a huge cussing and screaming/taunting match with the Kurzicks telling us to go play maple story, --------, and all kinds of things like that and the Luxons were calling Kurzicks Kurz----s, blah blah blah which probably isn't that original like suxons but the point is, Guild Wars is a game but some people don't get the point of that.

Yeah, I developed a liking for the Kurzicks. I am Kurzick btw. I dunno how it happened, but i strted to find the Luxons sickening (no offense). I din't like their armor, or "riding turtles"?! C'mon...
Anyway, just my two cents

When I'm in AB, I usually just thern the "All chat" off. Works like a charm.

I often find some of the banter comical, not so much in AB but Fort Aspenwood seems to have a much more ... mature sense about it (at least at 4am).
It is taken to the extreme in many cases, though turtle jokes always crack me up.

I must say that being Kurzick, I'm definitely considering swapping sides. Especially because of AB and the disorganisation among Kurzicks during the battles. The luxons although, they are always the ones to start the taunting, mostly manage to beat us. It can be very enraging whilst fighting to see them calling us names, cussing over and over. Of course some of us will reply and the whole battle will turn into a slang match and whislt some Kurzicks will be busy 'words fighting' with the taunter, the other luxons will be fighting and capping instead. This total lack of organisation is getting on my nerves and although I hate the look of the jadesea, eheheh, I'm gonna switch sides, especially when we keep on losing on our territory. Wake up Kurzicks! Ignore the Luxons' taunting and cap! LOL.

okay. i personally am not to the point of choosing Kurzick or Luxon, but i have seen the battles between the factions. the Luxon are way more organized, and they play the game more mental and upset the other team.(hence the unorganized fighting) but IMHO, a little playful banter is good for a game, it is those who think they own the world and say anything they want that turns the game into something we don't want to put up with. that's my two cents.

i just get the factions to get amber and jade for armor, it's like you hate them when there trying to kill you but there nice when your fighting with them, so i really don't get into luxon and kurzick feud because there all good people.

Inside, I'm kurzick. I like their armor and area more, but I never was in AB on their side. Why?
I like red cape much more than blue, and luxon seem to be a bit more organized.
Never took part in "lovely" discussion between sides. But it seems kurzick like talking very much. Instead of capping. Or instead of fighting.
Theres really good players on kurzick side, but they like to do everithing alone. Thats why luxon win, when they are a bit organised.
Soon... Or never.

I am Luxon atm because of my friend who is close to Steward of Luxons. I have found that Luxon AB is a lot easier because on the Kurzick side they chat and that's all. Then the just mob and dont even fight. I like the Luxon teamwork where each team can actually cap a shrine and keep moving while the Kurzick mob just keeps moving along slowly picking off the random Luxon stragglers. AB on the Luxon side seems to fit the title more of Alliance Battles then Kurzicks do imo.

andddd i've been guilty of not having fun all of the time, and taking it slightly serious. But i tend to avoid the put downs >.>
(cept some people who are rude can really get on my nervs -.-) BUT I LOVE YOU LUXONS, and i LOVE YOU KURZICKS! <3!
(dont fear swiching sides once in a while! you can learn a lot, and keep your emotions more neutral) ^.^

As a Luxon, I like driving the competition between the two factions to the extreme.
I guess it just makes the matches more fun and interesting. I never start any name calling or anything (somehow I find suxons and kur-sicks very childish) but I will say things in All Talk as: "Charge Men, Take No Prisoners!" or "Send those tree-loving hippies back to the bush!".
I, myself don't find this offensive in any way. I hope no one else does, because it is not meant that way whatsoever. I guess it strengthens the feeling of Role-Playing like some wise Moderator said before me.
But anyway... why is it always Kurzick and Luxons huh? Why not Luxon and Kurzick huh, it's all just one big conspiracy against the Luxons isn't it??!! Death to the Kurzicks! Graaah!!!

I used to be Luxon and learned to hate the kurziks, then i joined a kurzick guild and now i don't really like or dislike the others.
In AB and FA i usually like to join in the trash talk by getting my enemies to say stuff then twist it into something else. eg
Luxon: LOL I PWNED TEH N00bY SIN!!! (im not taking the p***, this is generally how the wammos of Gw talk)
Me: Yes you may have "pwned" me but I took out one of your sins and an ele while having you lumbering around the place. So if i am a "n00by sin" what the hell does that make you?
Luxon: Yeah, well, ive got mending etc..

Wherever there is an online game there will be silly people throwing insults around.
Lets be honest, its better they throw random insults at a big chunk of the population (Kurz/Lux) as opposed to at one random guy, which wouldnt be as funny as the tree/turtle jokes which sometimes actually make me giggle =]
