Welcome to Togo Dies (ToD) official contest!
We need you!
On behalf on my guild, Togo Dies where I am an officer, we proudly present our contest for the rest of this community.
So please, do read on, for your own
sake and ours because theres some hefty stuff to win!
The Contest
Togo Dies (ToD) are planning a party, but we don't know where it should be! Actually, we don't have a clue! please help us out!
Post a picture of where you think the party should be held, and how it should look!
Should it be a disco Party in Shiverpeaks, a futuristic one in the Jade Sea, or perhaps a Christmas party deep down in the jungles of Magumaa?
It's your choice really, the only thing we ask you to do is this:
Requirements:
- Just a picture taken in Old Ascalon or another place won't help. You have to make/edit the picture using
the Microsoft Paint program, anything else isn't allowed. This is your chance to show your creative side, and how skilled/amateured you are with Ms Paint.
- Your contribution have to be delivered before 13th of January, a month from now.
- You can submit as many proposals as you want
And now, for the Grand Prizes! ^^
First Prize: 75kand a Varesh mini-pet
2nd: 25k + a full set of halloween stuff (10 of each potion/brew/etc)
3th: A full dye set
4-5th: A full set of materials for a new standard 1,5k armour set
When all the proposals are in, we in ToD will discuss who's going to walk
away with the prestige, and cast away the others. So make sure your picture will win!

Only Paint will be accepted, that's the whole point of the competition^^ If we find any pictures that we believe someone have been using another program on, it's disqualified,
and, a little off-topic, but only people that aren't involved in our guild may enter. Just a reminder

Let me just add something.. "You are ONLY alloud to use paint" and anybody in the Togo Dies guild isn't available for the prizes.. you can submit them if you want but say this was just for your pleasure and its not for the contest... whatever =)

Ok coolio, looking forward to seeing some creative entries, perhaps one or two of my own if inspiration catches me! :P
How do you plan on checking something isn't done in Photoshop as opposed to Paint btw? Just sounds like it might be tricky, and Photoshop gives a massive advantage in terms of Layering, which would be hard to detect, other than it would look maybe more neat :P
I guess you could make any non-paint users feel really guilty, that could work :P

Now can this party be like anywhere, for instance Outside lions arch or an actually town? What i mean by outside lions arch is like, going out into explorable area.

hum could be a challenge I never used paint so ...
if I participate (depending if I find an idea feasible) I sware it will be done in paint and not photoshop (suggestion maybe get those that apply send screenshot of creation process)
(ouff just checked and I do have ms paint in standard windows install)

Sannin, you can take your shot wherever you want. If you wanna have it in UW then sure, go ahead. You can use whatever place you feel like ;-)
And don't worry Sister, we'll watch out. we've got some quite smart photo-editers on the job.

Oh.. and you can take a Screenshot from game.. and them put it into paint and edit it, making it look partyish (Balloons.. Stands with food on it.. ect)
And yes, you post your picture here so everybody can see it =)

Yes, the pictures should be posted in this thread.
I guess that if you can show some "varification" pictures aswell, that will be a extra + for us to judge if we are uncertain about how it was made. you don't need to post those verifiers, we'll PM you if we need them, so just take some pics along the way also.
But I don't think that is gonna be a problem, actually I'm quite surprised that it was you who asked about it, don't you trust the members of this community? O.o

you can post the same place.. I advise you wait till the end of event 'till you post them so people dont steal idea's, or if you are the original for an idea that everybody copies you can have bonus points i guess... lol

Yes you can, but I am not too sure that you will win.. since it is "plagiarism" in a ltitle sence, you arn't making it all by yourself (FYI, takign the screenshots = your work :D) , we are hoping for as much of just Drawing/Painting as possible =)

Sorry, i didnt make it clear, what i meant was i have a good palce in mind right now, should i say it out loud so noone can take it or risk it and wait until i get some time to make a picture for the judges? if i waited till everyone posted, my idea coudlve been used already, darn i hate working takes away all your guildwars time lol. Thanks.

Do whatever you want to do.. you arn't gonig to loose "points" and we won't liek yours any less jsut because somebody might have came up with the same area... think if there are two parties both nextdorr to eachother, one is run by a homeless man and has the funding of about $10... and the other one is the same except it is made otu of gold and has like millions of $ to buy great thigns for it.. which would you go to.. (not too good of an example, but probably good enough)

People who know what they are doing can use photoshop and pass it off as paint. It is pointless for someone to waste their time only for someone who has no proof but an assumption, to disqualify them. I wouldn't waste my time on this anyway.
This is directed towards the people who ARE NOT admins. You are just a user/poster here like everyone else, including me. So before you get on your high horse and tell people how to play the game, or what they should and should not post (ie screenshots, game guides, thread topics, etc) keep this in mind...NO ONE ASKED YOU, AND YOUR PERMISSION OR APPROVAL IS NOT NEEDED!!! So if you don't lik a topic, or a picture, or whatever, then move on to the next one.
P.S. If you don't like my opinion, just remember one thing, I don't care. It is mine and I am happy with it. : )

I hate to say it, but he's right. There is no way to know which program was used to manipulate the image. Even the suggested "proof image" can be falsified. Just manipulate the image in whichever program you choose, save it, then open it in MS Paint and take a screencap.
It would also put those of us who grew up using MS Paint and got quite proficient at it at a distinct disadvantage...we'd have to dumb down our work so it wouldn't look like it was done in another program or be disqualified.
This one is a no-go for me, unless the program restriction were to be removed.

Yet you felt you were able to take the time to insult this contest?
Right or wrong, IMO at least, that is really unnecessarily rude. ToD are going out of their way to create this interesting competition, which has excellent prize support. Like you say in your own (extremely blunt) signature, if you don't wish to enter, don't bother posting in this topic.
I agree that it will be difficult to judge, but if they say they can handle it, then you and I have no reason to disbelieve them.
