| World Dominance: Minesweeper! |

The other day I came up with a crazy idea. There's a software called xfire - those who doesn't know what is it about should either check it at http://www.xfire.com (worth it!) or just skip this thread. Now xfire users know that there is a top 10 game list. Now, I want minesweeper to reach the top 10! How to do that? It's simple. While the most played game is based on each one's friend list, the top 10 is a global thing. All you have to do is just have minesweeper running in the background while you're on xfire but not playing any other games. Yes, you don't have to click and play and think, just run minesweeper and minimize it.
What's in it for you?
I have to say, actually nothing. I don't set up prizes since it would be hard to check any progress. All you have is the fun thinking how other people will think "WTF?!" when they see minesweeper on the top10.
Who knows - maybe if minesweeper gets into top10, they will add screenshot support for it too...

man you are crazy :) there is no way we could make it to top10, think of all the other ppl who actually play the games listed in the top10. hundreads of thousands ppl play countless hours with those games, so imho its not possible for such a "small" community to do this.
instead we should try to make gw the first ^^

Well, since the last 7 days that counts, I think there's a chance... I might be wrong, but I do believe it's about the last 7 days.

Half my friendslist on Xfire was on some thing to make Solitare get up there. And lemme tell you something, they made it, to place 2. O_o

Yeah well my own pc's down atm and i wont be able to keep the one im currently on, on while gone >.>
Though ill try to keep solitaire minesweeper(!) up when on a pc :P
Oh and a small tip, when wanting to play another game start that one then start minesweeper, it should replace the stats hehe.

i have xfire but never use it.. i guess its gotta be a recognised game so theres no making a game called gameamp that we can get up there in the top 10 (wishful thinking?)
sounds like fun.. and knowing ure one of the people to help with somthing like this.. (big scale thing) is a good feeling :) (although many will call u sad)

15 sec on beginner, 83 sec on advanced and 275 secs on master. One of my exgirlfriends had like... 6 secs on beginner and <60 secs on advanced... and IIRC, ~90 secs on master. >_< THAT's frustrating.

Havent playes minesweeper in a very long time. My best times were 10 secs beginner, 58 secs addvanced and 190 master.

Hmm... top games seem to be daily! o_O
WoW is at 1,990,534 minutes, WC3 at 154,406... that's 2573 hours. That means 322 players with 8 hours on the same day could beat it.

I used to play a lot when I was younger and bored. best times
8s beginner
36s intermediate
75s expert
The key is a good start and being able to quickly identify certain patterns. Also the double click shaves tons of time off.

I always have minesweeper running...Balthamos is forever teasing me about my obsession :D Don't have xfire though...but my best times are
Beginner: 9 seconds
Intermediate: 47 seconds
Expert: 106 seconds
Used to be better, but I accidentally reset my scores >_<
