The most unused assassin Elites

Does anyone have any builds that they are willing to share that use these very unused Elites?

Dark Aptoshy (or what ever the spelling is)
Shadow Shroud
Lotus Fury

I don't care what profession u use it in but im just wondering if someone is creative enough to use em somewhere besides just having it in a build.

RE: The most unused assassin Elites

I believe there was a HA build where a Necromancer/Assassin would use Dark Apostasy.

Also, I know there is a HA/GvG build where one or more Assassin/Warriors would use 16 Dagger Mastery, 12 Tactics, Locust's Fury, and then spam "Fear Me!" to get the enemy team's energy down.

For PvE, I have no clue.

RE: The most unused assassin Elites

I use Locust's Fury in my Assassin's PvE build. With the high attack rate it provides along with the Way of Perfection and high Critical Strikes, I selfheal efficiently, deal good damage, and am just in general an efficient assassin.

I use:

11 Crit Strike (10+1)
13 Dagger Mastery (11+2)
11 Shadow Arts (10+1)
Leaping Mantis Sting
Wild Strike
Critical Strike
Way of Perfection
Return
Death's Charge
Locust's Fury
Res Sig

I chose those particular 3 attack skills due to their quick recharge. Since I doublestrike so often, I get a lot of critical hits, which gives me sufficient energy to use them pretty much constantly as well as health from Way of Perfection. And then of course I have Death's Charge to get into battle quickly if needed, and Return to get out of battle just as quickly if my healing isn't sufficient.

How would this build work? If you use Shadow Walk to step to the target, as soon as you use Flurry you'd teleport right back to where you started...and I'm assuming that flurry is there to increase attack speed and make the most of the Double Strike/Critical chance. I like the premise, I'm doing something similar, but using the Paragon as a secondary...Aggressive Refrain with Go for the Eyes to re-apply it. This way the Assassin stance isn't negated as soon as you try to increase the attack speed. When I get mine set I'll post it. Won't be able to test it until I get my Assassin "Weh-No-Su"(sp?) though.

I jus put that in there as a shadow step. Any old non elite will work. I didn't realize that at first. But you could use that tactic as a way to get in and out w/o using aod. You could jus use siphon speed to slow them and speed up you and let loose.
Here is an example

First u use siphon speed
then you use flurry
critical eye
then fury
black locust strike then
twisting fangs
after that use shadow walk run away a bit then use flurry to get a good distance from the foe so that you can be bck at safety and run.

Ummm what? Am i reading the skill wrong? I don't think it effects ur Combo just ur normal attacks which is pretty useless. And since its only for daggers theres nothing for anything else.

Dark aptoshy seems useless becuase it uses so much energy and since its in crit strikes no other prof can effectively use it.

Shadow Shroud i was thinking about and i relized it is great for a spike because a lot of times i throw in RoF in a spike if im not infusing to make them take less dmg but if thats not possible, im just wasting time, 20second recharge so it seems nice now that i think about it. Also GREAT wy to kill someone thats like boon prot or something like it. Basically any monk or anyone.

Btw, ur combo really should be critical BEFORE u get in there, the duration is as long as the recast with decent crt strikes.

Honestly, they still seem like the last 2 assassin skill they through in. Most of the builds seem like u just through it in there and called it a build....If ur just doing normal attacks its strays from what an assassin is... in Kill out. Not attack wildly until u think its time to spike, thats more a warrior...

Wth a necro assassin using dark aptoshy? they don't critical much and its a self spell so.....that doesn't make much sence at all.

RE: The most unused assassin Elites

Locust's Fury doesn't affect attack skills... In fact, if you're using attack skills constantly you pretty much lose its benefit since you get one or two strikes regardless of how your doublestrike percentage is. I wouldn't even consider using it in PvP because it's too easy to outheal normal attack damage and using attack skills often renders it much less powerful, but for PvE I find it's the best assassin elite for normal use there is due to the vastly improved attack rate.

Dark Apostasy I can see being useful if you have a consistent energy source available. With 14+ crit strikes and critical eye, you get 4 energy per critical hit, remove an enchantment per critical hit, and lose 4 energy per enchantment removed... Throw a set of Zealous daggers in there and you can still gain energy even with constant criticals. Actually, it might be beneficial to go A/D and take Zealous Renewal (enchantment, when it ends you gain 1 energy per strike while it was on you and lasts for 20 seconds) for even more energy production.

Shadow Shroud could be terribly useful for spikes, especially if you or your team could then strip all of the enchantments they already have on them. An A/N with Shadow Shroud and Gaze of Contempt, for instance, could go to an opponent and hurt them a great deal and no enchantments would be able to assist them.

They mean Order of Apostasy, which is an order spell that makes allies remove enchantments on a hit at the cost of your health. But Order necros are almost always N/Mo for selfhealing, so... Yeah :)

RE: The most unused assassin Elites

Ok, Thats really really good build there with the Dark aptoshy(i kno thats not even close to the spelling) PERFECT build, it costs no energy to remove enchantments and if u add some kind of hex u can have black locust strike to help u. BRILLIANT

Locust in pve is really good especially with the combo of vigous spirt and live viscarsly, BRILLIANT!

Shadow shroud and and gaze of contempt plus hex and black lotus? BRILLANT!

is there a way to give more tha 10 cred per post cuz WOW! nice builds.

I just thought of using critical strike for dark aptophy and with ur no energy cost, bye bye monks.
