WooHOO! I love it when a big word comes to me in the right situation that I didn't even realize I knew. I used it, then I had to look it up just to make sure I used it properly and it was actually a word.
My big word for the day today was:
supposition

Sense I've been in and out of the hospital for the past few months, the doctors tell me I have to "ambulate" as much as possible. It's just a cool way of saying I need to get off your @$$.

Oh yes, my job is good for those kinds of words, since I work for a hospital and all.
I watched a new anime I bought this weekend and one of the episodes was named vicissitudes. I had to look that one up. :)

I don't have many big word stories since English is not my first language. Although I think slowly by slowly my English is surpassing my Dutch vocabulary. Or what is more likely, my Dutch vocabulary is slowly by slowly dropping below my English one.
But regardless of all that, no sane person will be able to use 'vicissitudes' in a sentence.

the ones I used to have in my working vocabulary were ...
attenuation and multiplexing but these days deviation and
contankerous seem to be on the plate more.

Well when I think of big words, I can't help but think of one of my favorite movies... V for Vendetta... remember this quote?

Nice and Babylon 5 had some great bits of prose worked in that could challenge the most learned understandings of language and diction. :) Great fun and good to have some activity here.
