PS3 because the wii system has been reported, people been throung the remote thinggy into there TV and breaking it because they think the system is real

before i say anything i'm gonna say this (well i guess that doesnt make sense then does it?)
Dont finalize your decision until you've played it.
From what i've heard and seen and read, the ps3 isnt that great (at the time). I've only seen one game thats really made its place and thats Resistance: Fall of Man. Probably because it has online capability right out of the box. The rest of the games i've seen, havent been that promising.
Also not being able to ship even a mere 500k units is pretty depressing for many people. I think there was a stat somewhere that more than half the people in line for a PS3 ebayed it the second they left. I think that the PS3 could sell out the wii in the longrun but it'll take alot of price cutting and alot of shipping. Also not being able to hit europe for another 3 months? I'm american and i find that outrageous. I think they might have rushed it a little bit too much.
Now, being a die hard wii owner since launch. I cant get enough of it :) Zelda is a must buy. In the first 2 weeks of Sales 75% of people who bought a wii also bought The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (thats about 500k copies). Wii Sports coming right with the box is a worth atleast 50 bucks (imo) for the first time in like 8 years my mother picked up a console controller and played Wii Tennis. I've never seen that happen in awhile o.O
With all the new Channels coming out for the Wii in the next month and a half, i'm gonna be really excited. I'll almost be at the point of not having to leave my room (lol) next week i'll be able to wake up and get the weather on my Wii straight from the load up menu. (its a pain having to go outside and feel what i'm gonna need to wear)
Well this is from the point of a Nintendo fanboy so you can all have your own opinions

Wii all the way, the PS3 is just something sony decided to make cause they have to meny blue ray disks, god like reusing a controler form an older system...come on lol.

About the blueray.
I really dont understand it at all. I think that DVDs are just perfect. Not too expensive but give more features than a VHS. BlueRay? They run like what? 100 bucks i pop i've heard. 100 dollars for one movie? i think i'll spend money on seeing it once and spend my money on something else.

If I gave this post a third choice, I think I'll go with PC :) cuz the PS3 is too expensive and it doesn't even have too many good games yet, and according to my friend, most of the games that came out have PS1 graphics (the gundam game for example)and the Wii is too dangerous, and although it ain't that expensive, the consequence is dear when you break everything in the room, including your friends nose!

neither for me im a xbox 360 kinda guy ps3 is way to buggy and the wii well its a cool concept but they really only are able to make simple games with that because they cant find ways to put the motion controllers into anything but first shooters and things like zelda.
and the fact that gears of war is awsome and halo wars and halo 3 is gonna tear up the competition and now that rockstar has announced GTA 4's release at the same time on both ps3 and Xbox 360 (as opposed to the earlier times when it was realeased later on xbox)
all in all wii is cool concept ps3 has nice graphics but the best one to me clearly is 360

Xbox 360 i saw a movie of all of the three in a compo and you can clarly see that xbox 360 grafix is better and not that laggy...
Wii has a good consept with the movement thing but in a Wii vs. PS3 compo the PS3 is so much better^^

What online games are there for PS3 right now? cuz I am stickin to PC cuz its easy to find online games (and i'm addicted to online games)and Wii has Red Steel but I don't know a PS3 online game that would have me support it.

The good thing about Blu-ray is the storage capacity...25-50GB on one disc, vs. 8.5GB. Which means that 4 disc set is reduced to one with room to spare, once the technology catches on (if it does :p ).

Based off the technology in the PS3, its far superior to both the xbox 360 and wii. 360 has the advantage of being the first one released. wii has (IMHO) a bad control system, sure it seems cool that its that interactive, But I wanna play a game how I want, not how a game forces me.
Though as I said, thats my opinion, oddly enough, thats what attracts most Wii buyers/users.
And about PS3 vs 360, the PS3 has the potential for better looking games, the problem is developers have had a LOT longer time to work with the 360......give the PS3 a few months before you start comparing which of the next-gen systems have the best graphics.

did I forget to mention that you don't have to use the nunchuk controller to play? people just use it cuz its new, you can get a normal controller too. It looks like the super-nintendo controller but with analogs.

Either way, if you dont use the new controller, the Wii is basically the cube.....its tech specs arnt much higher than the cube.
If I had to pick 1 system, it would be the PS3, if I had to go with the wii, it would have to be the standard controller. Sad thing is they offer the standard controller because the nunchuck controller is the most advanced part of the wii. Without it, its only slightly better than the cube. Thats what disappoints me about the Wii.

You know what i noticed? My (best) friend prefers PS3 better and I prefer Wii, and the reason for that is because my friend has all nintendo game systems (except Wii) and I have all PS systems (except PS3) so perhaps "most" people choose Wii because they had too much PS and vice-versa.

Meh, last nintendo system I owned was N64(best system of its time), I also, at one time had a PS, and I still have my PS2, I would still prefer PS3 > Wii though. Maybe its cause I like the PS series. My sister has a cube and i've played it some, its ok, better than xbox IMHO. Xbox, I couldnt stand the controls....played Halo for 30 mins and I still could hardly control the character.

I have been thinking about how bad (just some) the games are for PS3 that I forgot about how they would do in the future!!!! and through this I also avoided to know how system works. Tell me can it play PS2 games? cuz I want to play God of War 2!! W8, its available for PS2! nvm then. but still, PS3 may get a better impression on me in the future.

Half of the time these "accidents" happen either
A) Stupidity
B) Not listening to the directions carefully :)
I've played my wii for awhile and i think only about twice it slipped out of my hand that could have done some damage. BUT, i was wearing the wrist wrap like it tells you to and nothing really happened, just dropped controller picked it up and was back to hitting homers :)

are you saying the tv screen, because them remoted are cheap plastic theres no way a little remote is gonna go through a 3/4 inch thick piece of glass.

Actually, I recently read an article basically saying nintendo is planning on replacing wii wrist straps because the original ones were not strong enough.
EDIT: Did a quick google and nintendo's site has a page to apply for a replacement strap.

PS3 so far doesn't feel next gen with the Xbox 360 at this point. Though its not fair to compare them this early into the PS3 cycle.
To me complaining about throwing the Wii controller and destroying TV's makes as much sense as sueing a company for selling coffee that is too hot.
I don't drop a drinking glass and complain the makers that it shattered. I realize the 'risks' of drinking with a glass cup instead of plastic.
As for which is better...hard to say. The Wii doesn't bring a one player experience that demands the system. Zelda is great, but its more or less just the good aspects of every other Zelda crammed into one game. For those who have played Wii sports (particularly tennis) with 2 or 4 players...you know the great potential for the system. The game maybe simplistic, buts its easily the best gaming experience I have had in a long time.
To sum things up....
Wii then Xbox then PS3.
By the end of next year I could easily see it as :
PS3 then Wii then Xbox assuming blueray takes off.

The old Wii controller straps snap when you swing too hard...perhaps if you swing the controller hard enough it could go through the TV. Next thing you know "Myth Busters" test the theory of the controller going through the TV :)
What if the guy that complains about the coffee being too hot breaks the companies cup (that is, if the drinker was drinking out of a glass)...
What happened to clay cups?
