Ok, so tonite I was chatting w/ thejeni and we got to talking about heroes we have. I told her if needed help paying off debt I could help because I have heroes from low to high. So she said, "How many you have?". I guessed about 10 to 15. She said I sound like an alt-oholic. I dont play all the heroes and some I made were goofing around ones. Some created because my main server was down or I saw a COH forum about supergroup recruiting a specific type of hero that interested me. I decided that I would post all my heroes and servers and then see if all agreed that I might be. Does anyone else have as many Alt heroes as I do?

As you can see I have alot of creations but most dont get played that much. Alastriona was created for the Triumph all female supergroup S.H.E.. Mr Madagascar created for the supergroup Global Heroics; Ne Plus Ultra was created for the Gameamp.com supergroup but I havent been playing him (feels weird being on different server); and Intrepid MAN created because I found a forum talking abotu a supergroup where you hero only used brawl, spint, rest, and other non superpower like options. You could use fitness power set and that was about it. They claimed to have been able to level in the teens but havent found a member of the group on (i think they use the powers they took in mission when they solo that way they level w/o being caught) the game. Anyways what do you all think?

Oh my friend, don't feel alone, I have every server filled with characters, I try and play around with them so I can cycle the heroes and not get bored with playing just one. The lowest I have is level 2 and the highest is level 25.
I'm not an alt-oholic, Im alt-sessed...I love creating the new heroe and playing around with them. I have deleted just as many as I have created and will probably keep it up when CoV hits our little community.

I love making characters, when I get new outfit ideas, etc. But I only have 5 alts scattered on 2 servers. :) So I am not quite up there with you big dogs yet. ;) heh heh

Alt-oholic hmmm? sounds like me too... sometimes i make one JUST to make one... I also think it keep me focused on having more fun with what CoH has to offer... and more in tune with what I should expect from a teammate who is of a different origin than I.

there is nothing wrong w/ being an alt-aholic....there are a lot of them out there... i've made some new characters, but i just can't seem to put Liz on the back burner long enough to play them very much... maybe after i've seen everything (and done everything) w/ her i'll be able to focus on a different character... but come on FULL AUTO... how do i give that up?

I'm right there with you being an alt-o-holic. I guess the first step is to admit that I have a problem. My issue was that I just got into the game a little before Christmas and felt that I needed to try EVERYTHING right away. So alas, I ended up with about 8 characters spread out across several servers and none of them particularly high...mainly because of time constraints.
Primarily I'm playing Final Epiphany on Freedom, who's a L9 Tanker. The other is Dave Batista on Infinity (which I created last night) who is a L6 Martial Arts Scrapper.
Oh, and I'd like to welcome myself to the Forums. ;) I've been lurking for a few days now.

Thanks! This is the first graphical MMORPG I've played. I've been a regular on an "old school" MUD for quite a few years, but since I heard about CoH, I needed to check it out...of course, I'm hooked. :)

who doesn't love alts? I had to expand to different servers just because I wanted to try different AT's and ran out of room on Justice between my heroes and villains. My next server is going to be Triumph so that I may join all you ampers in the fun. I also use freedom for heroes and im going to start villans only on virtue. As a matter of fact im off to make a fire something blaster now! cyas!

i dont even go on Triumph anymore, too many memories of passed characters, its rediculous. my 3 main servers are all full, Justice, Liberty, and Infinity, and i just cant bring myself to delete a lot of my characters, mostly on account of sweet costumes. also, even though i have a lvl 32, im still in the "lvl 10 is too far along in the toon for deletion" mentality of most n00bs. (sorry, n00bs, but its true) also, im usually like, MAYBE sometime ill get around to playing as my OTHER kinetics defender, the one with energy blast instead of electric or psychic.
um, yeah........im not even going to try to list mine....
PS- you all may have noticed that i dont really believe in punctuation besides commas and periods (i.e. contractions have no apostrophes) and i only use the shift key when absolutely necessary.

I don't have a problem, and never did, yeah I have numerous alts on almost all the servers with Triumph and Champion being fullest (Triumph is my test server so toons come n go) but I can stop at anytime I just don't want to, and with all the possible combinations it behooves us to try them all out, its the natural order, why fool with the natural order???

I left out duplicate characters & ones I haven't touched in over a year...all in all, I've got 60 characters spanning 8 servers. I've also deleted over a dozen easily...like StevieG said, its just so fun to make new characters, their bios, and costumes.
