wth? why are other games with guilds and trading much better?

This game is called Guild Wars and it's supposed to be more about guilds and people and socializing but other games containing "guilds" is much better. Like Heroonline, that game has a "Guild" part and its sooooooooo much better. And Conquer Online and i heard Guilds on World Of Warcraft is so much better. Wth???

I might be wrong but i think it was named "guild wars" because it takes place a few years after the guild war.

Wth? lol i never said Guildwars is lame, i said that other games with "guilds options" are MUCH better than guild wars!! Because there isn't anything you can do about guilds in guildwars, oh yeah the Guild hall so what about it? And im not saying guildwars sucks lol its just i felt guilds in guilds wars are left out. You are supposed to do "something" with you're guildmates but ohhh you get that point.

That's funny, I guess all the UW runs, dual farming and now DoA runs I'm doing with my guild-mates aren't part of GW. I wonder what game I'm playing?

So, what you're saying is, that you dont do anything with your guild?! And you think that guilds are of no use in this game?...
What can I say...Your problem. Most guilds do a lot o things together. Like: helping with missions, capping elites, exploring maps, farming,... And that's only in PvE.
Then you have TA and HA. And ,wow you cant belive it, GvG (witch means Guild versus Guild, hence the name of the game).
Some guilds also have guild meetings, parties, make ingame movies, etc, etc...
The choices are endless.But if your guild is a bunch of unsocial farmer-bots, then I guess guilds are of no use to you.Then you're probably in a guild just to have a cape...

GW might just look worse but many other MMORPG's have terible graffics or don't update often, GW might have a bad connection sometimes (or it's just my network connection that's laggy) but the graffics are ways better in it, take RS for sample, big game but the graffics are even worse then all other games I ever played.

Rofl... If you think guilds on guild wars wasnt a good idea, you are TERRIBLY Mistaken. Guilds help each other out. Farms,Elite Caps, Exploration, Missions, Bonuses, Quests, Guild Mates will even help you get that 15k kurzick armor too! But you, and your guild have to be loyal to the guild! The only time I couldnt help A friend on GW is because I accidently fell asleep watching tv ( I HATE SLEEP! ) but, as long as your in a loyal guild, your ideas will shift...

Well met,

Actually, I can understand the OP, I have not played WoW or anyother MMO to compare them so will leave that topic alone but I can see the point I think being made here.

Correct me if I'm wrong but all the activities listed (with the exception of GvG) can be done with random people (for done read 'attempted' success is not promised) or people on your friends list. I can see the OP's point of what are guilds actually for?

I understand the fun of playing regularly with friends and by forming a guild you can all play together and have the ability to see who is online (thought the friends list does this too).

Perhaps the introduction of Guild only quests? Purchased through the guild lord or something. I dont know. there's nothing wrong with guild wars, its great but yes, I agree a little more guild based gameplay is needed.

a guild is only as good as the people in it, so if your guild is full of friendly people then you will get alot out of it, if its not then you wont.

Guilds are where people get together and do stuff together. Get a good guild that is fun then start complaining if you've been through all the guilds in the world. Maybe since u have such a *kitteny* guild that you complain. Also the guild hall is where you gather with your guild maybe to chill or go to Alliance Battles or do a ***GUILD VERSES GUILD BATTLE***
