2 months of research and thats all you can come up with. I have to say this is not an elite build, nor is it unique. In most ways this is a common wammo build, minus watchful spirit. I was kind of excited when I read the title of this post, then upon reading it, which is way too long and contains irrelevant information, I was very disappointed. Better luck next time.

I am sorry but I have to agree with Meese. The story was good but I use that build sometimes... its alright but ther are many better.
Good build all in all though, but this isnt original.

I have to agree with everyone else. It couldve taken me seriously 2 days to come up with this. Maybe im just good at making builds and have alot of ideas or this just is a really easy build to come up with. I'm sorry to say that it took you 2 months. Also next time please cut out the story, it just makes it too long and doesnt get to the point. I'm sorry i sound so negative, and i dont mean to flame, just try and stick to the normal posting guidelines because it helps alot when reading.

i wonder how could u kill a real monk with this build :S u dont have such great damage, any monk can outheal it.
and somewhow i doubt it that this build is able to kill a proper team of 4 players.( well if they are afk... )

I'm disliking the build personally.
I don't see it as being more effective than say... a premade paladin... except the paladin would do more damage and take less (it would heal for less too, but take less than half if you do the math with AL's).
sure it can do what you say it can, but there are builds out there that do it faster, safer and better.
keep working though, and for a future suggestion with the melee monk, delve into hammers as you won't be utilizing the shield - more DPS + better spikes.

Where did anyone flame anyone? We just posted our opinions on the build. I'm not entirely sure you understand exactly what a "flame" is. Please let staff members determine because I don't think you have a full understanding of what the word "flame" means. I am quite positive that any staff member will agree with my on this that this isn't a flame.
All we are doing is stating our opinions about the topic, just because some of us do not entirely agree with what he posted, doesn't mean that we are flaming him.
If that truely was the case then I could accuse you of flaming me.
In no way was I flaming here, I am just trying to make sure you fully understand the meaning of the word "flame". Because many people misunderstand many words which leads to confusion. I hope there are no hard feelings for me posting this is because this is purely for the sake of educating.
If you read my previous post I stated that this build is not original or THAT amazing but I did thank him for posting the information and being an active member in our comunity and showing promise of being a very helpful person.
I hope you have learned from this.

I find this build much in common with a 55 but with melee skills instead of smites. Also, most likely it would be pretty easy to take this build down, bring anything that rids of enchantments and the monk is down
Edit:i really wouldnt think the other allience members would say these words: "HOLY !@#$%^&* THIS MONK JUST TOOK OUT YOUR NUKER, MONK, TANK, AND ASSASIN ON HIS OWN. KURZ THE 6 PACK MONK IS HERE"

LOL, Guys don't worry about me, I have think skin. I welcome constructive criticism. As I said before chaos breeds success. I realize some of you may have put together the same skill set before and that's great, my hats off to you. I gave full credit to everyone for the skills being used. I also gave the reason why I called it a 6 Pack Monk. The armor enhancements let you sit there and take a pounding for a while so you can getr your health back.
If I've mislead anyone with the build, please accept my apologies. As far as it taking a few of you a couple of days to come up with elite builds, my hats off to you too guys/gals. Unfortunately I work about 60 hours per week and don't have a lot of time. Monk and Warrior is all I've played.
One last thing. You gotta admit it's a fun build, especially to deal that much damage for a monk. Thanks to all for your comments, it's very much appreciated. Happy Holidays and safe travels everyone.

well it's not a bad build, but "most sought after monk build" isn't exactly very realistic. people don't look for monks because of their great DPS, you know.

its an ok build dont think it should have took you 2 months to wrok with it tho ive seen people use it before not the "Best" but u can stay alive

It´s looks like a build that could have been run with some success but the way you tell your story doesn´t quite add up. In an alliance battle there is no "agro" and you´re selfesh to make your teammates stay back, lets face it, the common mob will go straight for the monk anyway, or they will leave you when they realise you are not a healer. I congratulate you for taking down an oposing monk but it doens´t seem that they were very good, most monks would have surived your damage. However I do feel that this build could be a very valuable addition to any team because of it´s ability to stay alive requiring little input from any other team member and also the ability of a monk to occupy the oposing forces who will usually go straight for you. Combine with your team members and you could be doing serious damage as well as suprising your oponents.
I´ve made builds that can take shrines out on their own and it has its down falls, overall I think it is a useful build but not the be all and end all.
As a last point. This sort of thing is the exact reason I almost always carry enchant strippers in alliance battles. Good luck with it in the future.
PS: Some posts above were as close to a flame as you can get without lighting a match in a room full of gas.

1st: I agree with Balthamos, some of you commented on the time it took him to make the build. That should not even be relevant in your comments about the build or its use. Just pick your words more carefully next time.
2nd: The build does very well with what it is intended to do. You can very much play around with the build. You could test smiting in there instead of sword, but that would be much more energy intensive. The survivability of it seems to work fine, as long as you don't come across good mesmers.
It seems you are proud about your work, and looks as if you take constructive criticism very well. Since you are new, I'd like to point out this topic BUILD CHALLENGE, and this website and tool BUILD TOOL.
As a fellow casual gamer, I love making builds for people, although I can't personally test them out. I love making them better using others ideas. Keep up the good work, and WELCOME TO AMP.
EDIT: The story was half decent, got a little carried out of hand in parts, but decent enough. Prestige is all part of the game too.

i have been testing this and it is fun :)
i haev taken 6 opposig peps at a time and i can cap almost any thing solo untill the enmy show up and burns me
but yes it is a good build and its funny tankiong 4 Warriors and there like WHY ISNT HE DIEING AND WE ARE
and i do find that it dose alot of dmg good build +cred to u
