| Tormented Weapons...Are they worth the effort? |

I was waiting for pics of the tormented weapons to be posted on wiki. I just visited the site recently and looked at the various weapons and I have to say that I am not all impressed with there skins. I was expecting something more "elite" looking in a sense for all that effort and hard work you have to do to get one. The biggest let down was the sword, I mean cmon, it just looks awful, I can see someone put a lot of effort in to coming up with that one.

Agree very much with Kanna, It looks awesome,, And the staffs is not bad at all. But the rest look ugly.

I actually like most Tormented weapons, recurve bow looks a little small to me, but hopefully there are other bows with different skins. The animations on them in-game is actually really nice, my favorite tormented weapon would have to be the Shield followed closely by the Scythe. Basically its like FoW armor, its a goal to strive for yet majority of FoW armor has 15k armor or even 1.5k that looks a zillion times better :P

I love 'em all.
Distinctive, nice and big. My favorite would be Sword+shield.
No hammer pic up yet? that would be nice imo.

I just took a look at them on Wiki and I think they have a very unique look to them. The axe is pretty cool and so is the shield. I just got a diamond ageis drop and now i want a torment one.
I think it would be cool if they introduced a plasma type skin kinda of like how the margonites look. But as soon as I get my necro to the domain of anguish I will be trying for these.
All in all its just a matter of preference. Everyone has their favorite skins. One of myu favorites it the icy dragon sword, think it would be cool to have and axe like that too.
The true test of any technology is its ability to obtain porn.

Their worth the effort for the Mods alone, the skin is a sweet extra detail. Although I'm not the biggest fan of bigger, more expensive and all that crap, It's worth it if you want it.

the only tormented skins that i think are OK , not great mind you, are the shield and the staff. All the others are worthless to me, aside from what i can sell them for.

I don't think the axe looks too bad. The only thing I like about the bow is the handle in the middle. The staff is nice as well and the sword is so so, just my opinion mind you.
Other than that, not much to say. Oh and I don't care for the scythe either.
Still no sign of the daggers or spear yet so I guess we'll see.

Lol who would actually keep them? you can sell them for millions on guru so it wouldn't matter for me. I liek the sheild and all but i already have a celetial sheild so i don't need one. The staff is good but it is to reminicent of the shadow staff (my least fav staff)

I must say the same thing about all of these weapons... they look SO much better in game than the pictures show. The video on youtube was done by one of my friends, and if you want I can upload a better version to another host (as the one on youtube was not very good quality).
Secondly, each of these items DO have a unique skin. I agree, they are very esasily related to FoW armor. Some people don't think it appropriate to get FoW armor (either because of the statement it makes or the looks of it), and those are most likely the people that won't get these weapons. They have unique, very nice IMO skins... but it's just a matter of prefence. Will you take the collector sheild/rare sheild with the same stats for a fraction of the price... or will you take the uniquely skinned very rare ones here?

You get the from the Gate of Anguish from the Weapon's trader. They require 15 of each of the 4 gems, stygian, torment, margonite, titan. Also rumored to come from the coffers but no confirmation

Hah, yeah, nice catch hamster. The shield, staff and sword are the only 3 which the holders are not wearing FoW armor, interesting.

Icy Blade Axe probably drops in the same place as the Fiery ones... so that would be the Sulfurous wastes assuming they do.

The torment weapons can be obtained in the Domain of Anguish for 4 of each type of gem from that realm. So yes they are releated to nightfall as are the icy and fiery blade axe that I want. Can anyone confirm that the icy blade axe drops in sulfurous waste?
Also just PC my diamon agies (req 9 mot) I got from buried treasure 60-80K. that puts me that much closer to FoW :). But I'll probably hold onto it as it looks cool as hell.
