I can't believe people still fall for this scam. It's so obvious, one has to be very, I mean, VERY inexperienced player to believe that.
I painted out the line with a normal trader with normal offers, and left these names on purpose, so everyone can see who they are.

i think ive seen this scam of Wiki or somthin
so its like u think 15k for the axe is cheap right?
when its really only worth 5k

The idea of this scam is for you to think "Sweet, I pay the first guy the 15k, then sell to the second for 30. I will be 15k plus"
As soon as you pay the first one the 15k, they both log-out and leave you with an item worth 2-3k, but you paid 15 ...

For any new players reading this, Guildwars Guru website has a thread on it detailing the current market prices for Green weapons in Tyria, Cantha and Elona. It is kept up to date and is, for the most part, an accurate measure of how valuable Greens are. The prices are meant as a guide, not an absolute, but at least it'll make you see when someone's trying to falsely increase an item's value.
