I can honestly tell you i'm.. disheartened that this is coming back.
A) it's probably knocked back some other patches/whatever that were coming this month.
B) we already got 3 weeks back in December for the Father Time, and 2 weeks for WL, and now we have more? let's just let it run year-round, then.
C) hell, i'm a badger, and i'm not even excited one bit by this. Only good thing is that the ski chalet is back.
oh, well. To those who didn't grab the badges already, GL getting them.

We've just had 3 weeks of it, whats the reason for another month?
If they didnt get the badges during the winter event, then tough luck. I want the halloween badges that I missed but theres fat chance of that is there?
How about the Handsome badge I missed?
Hell, while were at it, lets give everyone the 1Yr Anniversery badge!
Having badges that are only avalible at certain times is what makes some badges rare and sought after. I look at people with the cool halloween badge and I envy them. Theres no point in stiving so hard to get badges, when everyone has them.

man guys, it's only gonna be here for another week! jan 8th-15th.
that would still give the winter event less than a month on live. i think its cause getting 200 presents is a pain in the tushie.
what's another week?

I don't really see the problem. Winter runs until March 22nd or something...so another few weeks isn't a big deal. Plus, it's not like you HAVE to participate in the winter event festivities.

The one benefit I see for someone with altitis like myself is that it gives me the chance to get some of the badges on a few toons that I missed. Then there is getting the rest of the presents I need for those few that I was actually trying. The presents really were too few and far between for anyone to be able to get the badge very easily, and the fact that the ones in Galaxy seemed to be completely screwed up. I kept getting level 9-10 frostlings with a level 3 hero.
Back on topic, they may be running it by popular demand or to keep people occupied while they ready whatever patch etc. they are working on right now.

The frostlings, from what i've read on the boards, spawn to the highest level in the zone. So that would explain the higher than normal levels.
As for "not a big deal"... i don't know about you, but i got SICK AND TIRED of listening to people wanting to form a WL team, and looking for BNY teams. 3 weeks were available for BNY, 2 for WL. I'm expecting, that like it's been for the past 3 weeks, b/c others are getting the badges on their alts, teams will be down around the city.
But whatever. have fun, all.
